Greetings, fellas.

It's been a while, hasn't it? I hope you're all doing well. I decided to purge my big content archive and everything else related from cloud storage (it's taking up too much valuable space). If anyone wants to preserve it, now is your last chance, because in about a month from now it will be gone forever. I'll post some screenshots here on KE as send-off.

Is it just me or are a lot of the files are corrupted and black when you open them.

PNGs that are less than 1 KB in size are dummy files necessary to load their DDS replacements.

How does that work? Does Hook5 always look for dds replacement?

I'm mostly talking about some of the dds are full size but black when I open them.

Some them are fine but some are like this:

@demonv1 yes, it automatically renders the DSS texture instead of PNG if it has the same name and path (it doesn't have to be in PNG, could be anything the game loads, such as JP2). the catch is that DDS texture needs to be vertically flipped, because H5 flips it again when rendering. another way to load a DDS is to specify it as diffuse override (see Hook5 instructions for details) in the pass file – then the specular map needs to be flipped instead.

you may need Intel Texture Works plugin to properly open DDS textures that use modern compression methods. if it's actually corrupted, I can't do anything about it, I don't have the original files anymore.

Ah okay its working now I just needed that plugin. I only had nvidia plugin.
