New Customizer Room

x17

Current progress : VERY good ... made a fully new customizer room that will be available very soon for everyone. This room is visually going into direction of KE site visuals. But I will also put several variants for people to choose.

It is a very simple room, very minimalistic, and much better than vanilla customizer which was very stale and simply an eye-sore over time. This one goes more into futuristic and modern direction - altough note that I have made various textures, including the ones fully "neutral" without Klub Exile logo or similar. Or just with logo on platform.

In this case, there will be more plans around customizer rooms, including a slightly more complex one, but as concept simple - a closet. Or maybe a space oriented one ? 😉 Or maybe a cowboy themed one ? Or ... [ let the imagination wild ]

Have you tried to access the customizer while in the starting Freemode pose?

I dont get what you mean ?

As said - the customizer room is only for customizer scene. Its not even possible to access it any other way because its hidden from location browser lists for other modes.

So, if you can access this room somewhere else on lists except customizer alone - that shouldnt happen and something is wrong.

I mean, when in the starting pose, right click on a model and choose "Customize..." from the menu.

That's the only way to trigger the problem. Otherwise, I wouldn't have noticed.

Accessed it that way, but all works normally. All models are oriented properly.

Checked it for Freemode and PE, just in case ... both modes work properly when using customize option directly from it.

With my textures too? I have the impression that your background sphere is completely black, or a space dome, so it would be difficult to tell.

Nah, forget it. You wouldn't miss the position of the KE logo (the background).

It's definitely something concerning me alone. I'll have to figure out what it is...

Hmm ... ?

The textures in no way can change the orientation of mesh in the scene.

There are 4 main separate meshes / objects in the new customizer room

1. Platform that model stands on

2. Floor

3. Background

4. Sphere ( "sky dome", altough actually full "sky sphere" )

The sphere and all other meshes have active glow effect through pass files and appropriate blue channel texture. So, for example, if you leave glowing on sphere and change the space texture, you could change the lighting of the scene. Basically same like other cubemaps - altough this is sphere.

@onevision

Ill try to maybe find the solution, but Im 99.9 % sure you do have some conflicting mod. Pretty sure its somewhere misalignment in scripts for models ...

Lets try to summarize exactly

Your models in 1 and 2 slot are always misaligned when loaded in new customizer room BOTH when loaded in "ordinary way" in customizer, from the menu ... and when loaded from other modes active ? But models 3 and 4 work normally and are aligned correctly ? Is that correct ?

I know, but you need a reference to appreciate the orientation. The camera always face the model, but if the background is all black...

But as I said the reference is indeed the background logo.

As long as background is behind the model and model is faced away from the background - its working properly. Otherwise, one could even make background transparent and they wouldnt realize if theyre facing the right way or not. Except by certain texture patterns.

So, is this correct what I said above in statement before ?

I'ts hard for me to say which one is the "correct" orientation. But they are different, that's for sure.

Summary:

- If I load ANY pose first and then try to customize a model, all models appear oriented like screenshot "1.jpg". Could pass for a normal behaviour, if not for the white background which is not visible (behind the camera).

- If I customize the model before loading any pose, the situation is the one you see in images.

Actors 1,2,3 > different orientation

Actor 4 > same orientation of actor 3

- Loading the models directly, or indirectly (switching model when already inside the Cust.) doesn't change anything

On 1.jpg ... thats definitely not correct orientation. Background is not behind, and its obvious that model is rotated for 180 degrees.

So, models 2,3,4 are correctly oriented. Background is clearly behind.

Just tried to load a pose - then customize from within PE, all works normally.

Hmm, really dont know what to determine from it at first - but Im sure you have some conflicting mod.

I thought it could depend on models (specifically the body mod they use) because sometimes Blender users forget to apply rotation and scale before esporting meshes.

But that would result in a non-working addon, I think, and in any case you are certainly better informed than me because I use Blender only occasionally.

However, I think this can be also ruled out because I tried with different models and still get the same results.

Not exactly. If you put it that way, 3 and 4 are oriented correctly, because 2 is at a slightly different angle.

Or the other way around (2 is correct, 3 and 4 almost correct and 1 completely wrong). Sorry for being so nit-picking.

Yes, its related to a model "slot" number in one sense. So, when you put any model as no1 theyre always misaligned.

Ah, yes, sorry. I havent noticed its slightly off. Only for few degrees, but its noticeable. So it seems no1 and no2 are 180 degrees oriented from each other. While 3 and 4 and correctly and in exact angle.

BTW, can I see your list of addons ? You can omit clothes addons completely...

Link to comment

Sure. I'll send you a JSGME report.

About models... 3 and 4 come from the shemale collection I posted. Actor 2 is female and mod is Akko BubbleButt.

Actor 1 uses the old version of dp16's F7_CurvyS (the EMFS Tool version, Base 0937)

I couldn't swear on them, perhaps there is some flaw due to import/export plugin issues (or my negligence).

I think I'll try again with vanilla models before trying anything else.

The models look shouldnt have any connection to the orientation in the scene. At least I dont know any connection that could confirm it.

So, its maybe a mod that affects a game in slightly "deeper" way.

Recently I added a few tracks in tracks.ini (required from some addons from dp16's repack):

0, 994, Anim:Model01:clavicle_L_joint, SJoint.RotationAxis, 0, 0, 0, 0
0, 995, Anim:Model01:clavicle_R_joint, SJoint.RotationAxis, 0, 0, 0, 0
0, 996, Anim:Model01:forearm_L_joint, SJoint.RotationAxis, 0, 0, 0, 0
0, 997, Anim:Model01:elbow_L_joint, SJoint.RotationAxis, 0, 0, 0, 0
0, 998, Anim:Model01:forearm_R_joint, SJoint.RotationAxis, 0, 0, 0, 0
0, 999, Anim:Model01:elbow_R_joint, SJoint.RotationAxis, 0, 0, 0, 0

It was a risky choice, of corse. You think these lines can be the cause?

Unsure about it, but I strongly doubt ... the fact that old customizer in your case works normally, and new one doesnt, its odd.

Also, so far, its only in your case, I havent got anyone else telling me about this particular problem. So, this puts more oddity to it ...

So in new customizer room, your no2 actor has slight deviation for few degrees clockwise. No1 looks very much like those few degrees + 180 deg ( unsure if its EXACTLY 180 degrees, its hard to be fully sure ). And 3 and 4 look normal, centered properly.

@x17i have been wondering recently, would it be possible to add a bunch of furniture assets to the customizer room and make it look like a private dressing room, or a shop dressing room. Like the one in the luxury bedroom. I dont think i will have the skills to accomplish that myself, any time soon, but hopefully someone will like my idea and do the work 😛

PS the actual room needs to be a whole lot bigger so one could easily pan around the model and not bump into furniture

Believe it or not, I have thought exactly that even when I made this room firstly ... so, I even have assets already prepared. In future, I could possibly even make customizer rooms "per flavor", so it could go from various eras and environments. But nothing too much and extensive ... we can only have one customizer room.

So, I plan something like dresser room. I have walls in this room and thought maybe to make and limit it like one room - but I think Ill instead go with larger opened spaces, with some objects in middle around the round carpet where model will pose, or something else to stand on.

I also had in mind to make another room, something more SF and modern like this one I made, but with attempt to make specific lighting.

Also, I could possibly add a videowall support or similar to add a bit to dynamicness, but thats secondary.

Hmm ... I have been working on two customizer rooms - one is pretty much something like dressing closet / room

download (2).jpg

The other is a bit more SF / modern looking. The above dressing room one, I have inserted height meter (in both feet/inches and centimeters side by side)... well, if Alcina Dimitrescu can fit onto it (the cm one, lol), then its all good. 😊

Everything was decimated to good extent, and now the room is fairly low at 70k verts. Some textures will be changed for sure.

The visual bio texture will probably go above in upper part or ... it will go like a large TV screen embedded into the room, also above. Altough I planned this TV screen for the other customizer room.

Im honestly not exactly feeling happy with this particular customizer room, as it all feels a bit "compacted" into one smaller place. But possibly other people will like it.

Thinking about maybe some other additions ... if anyone has idea about something for dressing room that would be "functional" like height meter is, let me know.

I havent put mirror because it would need to be functional as within H5 pledged boundaries, and it would also make a hit on performance - plus, its really pointless.

Well, almost there ... several finishing touches. This customizer room will properly utilize H5 capabilities, but even with basic or lower, it should look good. It has two spotlights (obviously for two lamp fixtures) and one omnilight to spread diffuse light more even.

The visual biography will be additional panel, basically like standing panel in store.

Sadly, havent got time to finalize this room for this weekend, but it will be immediately tommorow. The good news is that I have already planned and made good chunk of third customizer room, which will go into different direction.

It's hard to believe it is a Customizer room 😮  With this scale in the background, it looks like a combination of a wardrobe and a police station 😄
