  1. H5 is a massive upgrade in comparison to other graphics mods like reshade. On the paid version you can add physical lights and get a handy gizmo on the scene to move and rotate it in position. You can also add mirrors and other static objects to the scene. The ability to test and manipulate all objects and lights quickly makes a huge difference. You can save different lighting setups, group objects together and toggle them on/off all at once.

    H5 textures also can be tweaked in real time, while in the vanilla there is a delay everytime you move the slider. Custom hook5 skins gives you more control over skin, and facial features. Hairworks adds hair physics, all done via gpu so its fast.

    Of course, to take advantage of all that you need a good graphics card. I'd recommend at least RTX 20 series or higher, with 4 to 6GB vram.

  2. I'm sure I'd still be fiddling with it even if there isn't any more content but as far as KE is concerned, I'm grateful for it regardless of how dated the software is. It's always cool to be around those who love the same things that I do. 😉

    I've been messing around with Blender for a while now, trying a hand at rule34 animations for the distant future but even then I'm sure tk17 will always be my go to for sketching out ideas because of my familiarity with it.

    NO T-X-X. I repeat, we are independent from any "corpo".

    Can we claim to be free from the corpo tho? afaik since we are using a hacked version of the game and the VX files still have B-S-B encoding, which belongs to t**, I figure they can still take it down if they want to. I don't see why they should take down a community that still plays their old ass game though. If they seriously remake their game on a new gen engine, make it mod friendly, I'm sure most of us would flock to it instantly, It's beyond me why they aren't capitalizing on it like some of the japanese 3d ergos are.

    Though that would be the ideal situation to handle things but in today's climax, people will make a fuss out of nothing. We took that approach in the beginning only for it to not go as expected - in this case people cried "censorship" and in some ways created unease.

    The more we remain silent, the more they would scream that it was true. So we decided to take a more transparent approach and share our POV and any worthy information about the stability of the game and actions on certain individuals.

    That's understandable. "Censorship" gets thrown around too loosely for sure, a private forum can establish their ground rules and anyone who wishes to participate has to abide by it. This isn't build upon the principles of the constitution! 😄

  5. I don't visit online platforms that much anymore but I usually just laugh it off. That's the only way to deal with it, by not dealing with it.  Members could report it if they want to n let the moderators quietly handle it but resist giving them any attention. I reckon even making threads about trolling itself is a win in their perspective. Discussions like these can happen behind closed doors or it must be very broad without targeting any certain individual or activity.

    End of the day, nothing works if someone decides to waste their free time on something they dislike.  We can only sympathize with such individuals and hope they turn around.

    Im unsure if there was ever a good Evil Dead game - ironically, even the games made resembled a funny mess that movies were. You know when its funny when a kid of maybe 10-11 ( me back in time when I was watching it first time, lol ) is laughing to cheesy scenes of a guy with chainsaw instead of his hand slaughtering some ugly looking monsters. And I laughed to Evil Dead 2 even more ... 😄

    However, I had and played Evil Dead : Hail to the King for PS1 ... now, this was also a pure comedic cringefest... however, it has a bit weird charm to it. Never finished it, though ... not suprising why.

    Fistful of boomstick was half decent but nothing spectacular. To think even The Thing has a decent game on the PS2 while Evil dead has far more potential. We never got that game yet.

    I was originally looking forward to Evil Dead until I found out it was an online multiplayer game. That was done with Friday the 13th and that game only lasted a few years before the servers shut down. Plus multiplayer games based on movie franchises don't tend to last long. I would have preferred a story based campaign game, with the multiplayer as an fature.

    Oh that does suck then, been a while since we got a decent Evil Dead game. Anyway, I always look up reviews n playthroughs before I buy a game so if its just F13 I'll pass.

    Yes. Every room. Every Foursome pose (though the only 4some poses I have were created myself on my own computer.)

    The bug is also present in "Freemode", but harder to detect since models automatically talk in Freemode anyway. You can tell the bug is present only b/c the same actor will start a second sample before the first one ends (overlapping.)

    "Static" (single-frame) foursome poses don't trigger the bug either. If you could create a test fouresome pose (easily done by simply Importing animations from other poses into a Foursome) and upload it, that might help me determine if the problem occurs at pose creation.

    Thx.

    Yes I can confirm the bug now.  I had tried a static single frame pose earlier. The fourth character does speak randomly.

  9. Try disabling the antivirus, it could give a false positive. Right click MFPgenerator3 -> Run as Administrator

    You can also try running the MFPgen in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

    I dunno, worth a shot.

    You could get the software  'Dependency Walker' and open MFP in it to see what is causing the error.

    Other than that the usual culprits are  .Net version 3.5 SP1 and 4.8 must be installed and directx needs to be updated.

  10. The black room usually happens when you don't have the hook5 objects required for it.

    First check your texture folder in your activemod for Room 248.  Open the level definition file in a text editor and see if there are static_objects that point to a directory '!obj/summer room/'

    it should look something like this

    [Summer Mood Room]
    enable = true
    type = static
    style = object
    file = !obj\summer mood\summer mood room.h5m

    If that is so, see if you have a folder called '!obj' in your ActiveMod and there should be a folder called "Summer room" in it. If you are missing the h5 objects, download those files from Hdiddys mega collection.

  11. Doesn't seem possible.

    The ideal workflow might be something like this  create the pose in the scene, (doesn't matter h5 or not)  -> rip the entire scene to obj n textures -> import the scene n textures to Keyshot -> set up lighting, materials and camera in Keyshot -> render

  12. I'm no expert but I just experiment till I'm satisfied with  the overall character. It's very rarely just about the face, the whole body, the clothes etc have to come together to finally do it for me.

    Many good tips on the posts above. Here are some things I do.

    1. Try creating the face in the poseedit room instead of the customizer. There you can experiment with alternate lighting angles and color.  Remember that some skin tones look better in certain lighting and bad in another.

    2. If you are using the pose editor you can tilt the face, add alternate expressions etc like figure out how the model will look when they are smiling. It's a great way to come up with unique characters. I always find myself liking characters with good smiles n expressive eyes than a regular pretty face.

    3.  You don't have to reinvent the wheel everytime, a face you already like is most probably your type of desirable features, they can be reused with a  few minor adjustments to create variations. Just by tweaking the Eyeball size and gap, teeth and ear size, skin texture, color tone, make up, hairdo etc you can get a fresh character while also maintaining the proportions that you already find attractive.

    Curious to see what this looks like. But yeah making videos in Blender is what you see a lot especially the videos with good physics. The problem is you almost never see anything more than a 30 second loop out of those movies.

    lol those rule34 ones right? Blender is definitely a lot more capable than that, even got a decent video editor. What I like about it is how easy it is to import assets, move things around etc without depending on h5.

    i also want to know how to do this importing customized models to blender 🤔

    There is no direct way afaik but Ninjaripper can rip any Directx 8/9/11 models directly from the game, there is a good tool to import to 3dsmax with the weightpaint, armature etc. Then it's just a matter of exporting to blender as fbx. I'm still learning Blender, rigging Game characters, once I get a feel for it, I'll experiment for sure.

  14. tbh Making videos on tk is a bit intimidating. I've tried animating in it but the timeline is very limited, would be nice if we could edit the curves. It does have some advantages like you can click on any part of the body n pose with the middle mouse very quickly. Currently I'm learning to rip my customized models and import to Blender. I can then tweak, rig and animate it within Blender and use Eevee to render it. I don't see myself making videos any other way.  The advantage being I can go over the 4 character limit, better deformations, lighting, hair n cloth sim, particle effects, shaders etc.

  15. The key you generated for the laptop will not work for the PC. The key generator takes information about your systems BIOS, the graphics card, harddisk serial number etc and then generates a code which Pervo manually adds to the list. Be wary that even if you even make hardware changes to your PC you will need a new key. I've had that when I changed my graphics card recently so I subscribed to his patreon again and send him a new code. I'm sure he won't mind activating a second key for you OR you can wait n send him another code in the next month.

  16. There isn't a hook menu to adjust lights on the basic version. afaik It's only available for extended version.

    To adjust lights on the basic version is a bit difficult but not impossible. Open the level definition of the room in any text editor, ,set the values for position, rotation and scale for the lights and save. Then switch to the game and hit alt+r to reload.

    I have the MFPgenerator3 from the patreon too. Link was working for me.
