Basic Hook Question - _Pass Files

Recommended Posts

Hoping someone can help with a basic hook5 question.   I get that the "_pass" file points to additional definition files but i wasn't sure what the path assumptions were.   I have two "_Pass" files below:

[pass]
name = BumpedCloth
stage2 = R9Eyewear005_bump.dds
stage3 =
stage4 =

[pass]
name = CustomModel
stage2 = _H5 Cloth Maps\Textures for clothes 01\N1.dds
stage3 = _H5 Cloth Maps\Textures for clothes 01\S1.dds

In the first one i assume it points to the .dds file in the same path as the texture?

In the second one i wasn't sure if the game looks for the .dds file in a folder called _H5 Cloth Maps\Texture for clothes within the ActiveMod folder or within the folder that the "_pass" file is located?

Is the lookup relative to the location of _pass file or fixed within activemod?

The first _pass file is from H3 or 4, I'm not sure which.

BumpedCloth is not supported anymore as a command.

You can replace it with CustomModel instead to make it work with H5.
Some of the RGB channel effects have changed from H4 to H5, so maybe the .dds files won't have the desired effect.

The paths you see is for the first one directly inside the folder of the texture, so no additional path info is needed.

Second points to:

_H5 Cloth Maps\Textures for clothes 01 , so you have to have this folder in your activemod directory.
although it is weird to include ___spaces ___ for path names.
If you don't have the folder and the requested files the _pass file won't function and show a black texture.

One question: through the pass file, is there the possibility of defining that a single texture is exempted from not being affected by sunlight or some other source?
Or is there some way that a specific object in a location is not affected by sunlight or another source?
