Now it's time to show my drawing skill to you...

But they obviously have a weird logo on it..., that's because I used free version of an image generating service using AI.

It's called Cutout.pro, they're selling some image converting tools and mobiles APP as well such as this cartoon selfie which is available on web now.

https://www.cutout.pro/turn-selfie-into-cartoon-anime-comic

Note that if you want HD converted image without the annoying watermark, you'll have to pay some backs to them for credits, cause they take 2 credits per image. Personally, I didn't think of buying it. This is because, although the images are good, they are at a level that requires some modification before they can be published. (They are still not very good at recognizing leaning faces in particular.) But anyway, it’s a lot of fun!

If you feed it with a wider picture then the watermark will be placed on the background, so it could be removed from there.

Yeah, it could be. Besides, I haven't made sure what is the maximum image resolution they give back to me, so hope someone gives us more impressions here.

Rather than go through a third person, I'd find cd of an older version of Adobe photoshop.  The kind that you'd get with a new printer or scanner.  No bs licensing garbage involved.  I still have one that's over ten years old and it has artistic filters that do the same thing.   I'm not sure where to get one but I would not be surprised to find one at any flea market or garage sale or second hand computer store for practically nothing, if not free.

You still get those filters in the latest Photoshop editions, but the problem is all those artistic and brush/stroke/sketch filters are not giving results like Cutout.pro's Cartoon Selfie processing. The results are totally different, the implementation from Cutout.pro is probably based on AI/ML processing, and is done purposely on portrait images, while Photoshop is more like a generic effects.

Agreed.

Those photoshop plugins are often not more than a combination of selective gaussian blur and unsharp mask plus some brush effect, on the contrary cutout.pro's process doesn't respect original image, in a good sense.

What do you think about AnimeGanV2 and the rest of derivates?

I'm almost giving up following AI related image generator right now tbh, the scene is too fast to catch up.

Nice, cutout.pro gives always unique taste on the image, never be uncomfortable. That fotor is also not bad, but the body proportion and the facial future don't match it seems to me.😂 The hands, on the other hand, looks well done (or well cheated?) considering AI ain't good to recognize them.

Lol yeah, the Fotor AI seems to disregard the face and take extreme liberties, whereas cutout focuses on the face with decent results imo. If cutout were able to apply the same effect to the rest of the image, it could be a game changer for a certain "cultured" effect 😅 but with the tests I ran, the image seemed extremely blurry everywhere but the face.

Regarding the hands, I agree; but the images posted were picked because they didn't have squid fingers haha. I'll be keeping an eye on this tech either way... pretty nifty stuff.

Cheers!
