Does anyone have leg warmers?

state808

Question

I have searched and searched, but cannot find any leg warmers except for the ones posted by @Smoke. Those are great, but I need some plain ones/ simple ones for a character I'm working on. Does anyone have any?

(thanks in advance!)

The only other ones I am aware of are these:

You might be able to achieve what you want with a bit of retexturing.

Hey thanks so much!! I could not find these! That is really kind of you. I'll give this a shot!

I did find some that @Smoke made, which were beautiful, but there were too specific. I need something very plain.

I believe there is a base game leg warmer just not sure where it is but I've seen it in pictures.

Thanks @HDiddy- I'll keep searching too. I just created my first baby step modification, so maybe I can play around with the ones @aardy posted...we'll see 😄

I really appreciate the support I've gotten here- thanks again!

The default leg warmers mentioned by HDiddy would be the "Running Shoes and Stockings" under Female Shoes.

I've never looked at these, but again you might be able to achieve something with an Activemod re-texture

A quick look shows the shoes themselves are on a separate texture sheet, so they would be very easy to remove. Not sure how easy it would be to edit the legwarmer part though.

The default ones are not going to work - at least, not easily.

I've just had a very quick look and hiding the shoes gives you NO FEET!  - the item is scripted to automatically hide the feet (usually done to prevent clipping)

- so these wouldn't work at all without quite a bit more mucking about.

Oh well ...  :classic_smile:

Having said that, I'm pretty sure someone - way back on modsgarden - released what was probably a replacer version of these as just the legwarmer part that did allow the feet to show.

I never downloaded it, but maybe someone, somewhere does have it to share.

Unsure exactly where the main DcScript input for this piece of clothing is, assumed its in default DcDress main file in Scripts / Dress, but I dont find the input there, maybe its under the different name ?

Overall, one could find the asset's Dc script file, and find next lines

DressCmd . {
            .Show I32(-1);
            .Target :P + "Body:body_subdiv_cageShape__body_foot_L_SG";
        };

DressCmd . {
            .Show I32(-1);
            .Target :P + "Body:body_subdiv_cageShape__body_foot_R_SG";

Its a simple input for any asset, -1 hides the body region or specific mesh, 1 is visible.

Yup, there is long and shorter version. You can make it even shorter just by moving the body layer down

This is great news!!! I will get to work on it right now- thank you so much.

@state808 - I did find and edit the entry that governs this - it's in the DcDress_Orig.bs in the VX-mod folder.  The downside of disabling this entry is that you do then get the foot clipping through the default version of the shoe and legging.

Still, it looks like you now have better (and easier to edit) options available :classic_smile:

Thank you so much for looking into this and letting me know about it. You all are teaching me a LOT! I am still very new at this and feel like I have so much to learn (2 months now).

I am really grateful for how kind and supportive you all are! Thanks again!
