Options in tk17 option manager

I was wondering why these 2 options are not checked by default? before spotting this i had to manually check folders for pass files for textures to add prefix mod to them, now that i have noticed these options exist i tried it and it fixed some more texures which were not working correct even by checking the pass files my self but now they are working too. I am just curious is there a specific reason these options are unchecked by default? beginners like me may overlook these options exist xd. null

Because let the game renaming and changing stuff by default is not a good thing.

It's a nice function for inexperienced users, but I would not want my game to start renaming textures out of the blue. I have a long history of modding and a lot of own textures and reworks going on - therefore I want to be in control of my textures.

Agreed. Have had too many bad results with letting the game just do things automatically. From deleted poses to all sorts of foolishness.
