I'm a RL lawyer, and I have never understood that kind of crime: "insulting a police officer". Dude! He's trying to detain her, the least she will do is speak shit against the police!

No no, that's not what I meant. I mean, that's common in the US, has can be seen on TV shows and realitys and documentaries. In Mexico, we all know the police is going to have a hard time among the community if the people try to defend a detainee. Aaaaaaand the detainee is going to get, at least slapped.

I believe is a cultural thing...

Maybe you heard about russian SOBR and OMON squads but i think you don't know about the difference between them. SOBR is noble police service against hard criminals only. And OMON is service for riot control and against not too hard criminals in case when regular police forces are useless. Even the word OMON is jokingly deciphered as a squad of mechanical processing of the population (insteed of "Special Purpose Mobile Squad"). Its a cultural thing...
