  • TK17 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    TK17 has been around for more than 20 years and has been modded and developed by many different folks.  This quick FAQ will provide some answers to the typical questions asked by users getting into the world of TK17 or even old users who have been curious about certain things.  The answers to these questions are based on the combined knowledge of the 6 admins from KE.

  • 1.Who Develops the game TK17?

    TK17 is actually a modified version of an older popular game called SV2.  The mod was originally developed by White Rabbit and folks who have worked on the game has changed over the course of the last 20 years it has been in existence. The core developers responsible for much of what you see in the game today were Raistin Kain, Rick9, and Euphie bringing in new core features into the game.  Since 2017 the mod is now being developed primarily by one user, Avatareas, whose primary additions is adding automation and scripting elements to the game. However without the likes of RK, Rick9, and Euphie adding new mods development of the mod has moved more towards automation of scripts with Lua.

     

    3. Wait who is K17?

    K17 is the self appointed leader of "Team K17" which is the team which have been developing the mod. The user now called K17 changed his name sometime around when the game got renamed from Lusty Ladies Sex Club to The Klub 17 (TK17). K17 does not code nor mod the game and his primary focus is making announcements.

     

    2. What about V11 64 Bit?

    V11 will be the newest version of the TK17 mod once it is released to the public. It will be very similar to the current version of SV2, but with the included core mods from VX. It's primary feature will be the newer 64 Bit engine along with some upgraded graphics and better toys support. Unfortunately in our test of SV2 the graphics will be on par with the Hook4 addon.  Because of this KE has decided to only officially support VX with Hook5, based upon the extended features Hook5 brings to the game not possible in the 64 Bit version

     

    3. What are these features that Hook5 has not possible in V11

    Hook5 was a more advanced PBR system allowing users to get more realistic results when applied to assets in the game.  Additionally Hook5 supports features like Hairworks and Physx for hair and jewelry providing a more realistic experience to players and modders. H5 also includes the addition of bringing in static 3D objects into the game to develop and expand on the rooms and other features currently not possible with V11. Finally H5 has a more advanced lighting and rendering system allowing for much better lighting setups in rooms as compared to V11.  For more on what H5 does visit the tutorials section.

     

    4. What about ModsGarden 2.0, where did it go, what happened?

    5. Can you explain what happened between Team K17 and the admins of Klub Exile.

    Short story. We had a difference of opinion on how the community should move forward in the wake of ModsGarden dying. That said we wanted a site that met some key criteria for us as modders which included the following:

    • A site were all modders are appreciated for their which actively combats leeching
    • A site that is effectively moderated. 
    • A site that applies rules around Patreon and other paywalls consistently
    • A site that drives the development of new modders and content for TK17
    • A site where all content is free and a community that is active

    Unfortunately the team was not a fan of us building a modder focus site. While the KE admins tried to negotiate with the team in good faith, talks did beak down because Team K17 wanted 1) Administrative rights to Klub Exile and 2) Demanded we remove one of the KE founders from the admin team. We were not willing to meat any of these demands so we moved on our separate ways.     6. So what modders have release content on KE?

    One of the first things we did, led by @Smoke, was to try to bring back modders who had left MG for various reasons to Klub Exile.  That said some of the modders and content creators that have released new content on KE are the following:
