The thing is even if a another game comes a long it is still a crapshoot.  VaM came a long and while it took some folks away it was a mass exodus.  As long as their are people who are interested it keeps the community solvent

I gave vam a chance a while back and I really wanted to like it, the issue is that it is the most convoluted piece of software, I have ever used. The UI is trash and you have to go into layers and layers of menus to do what you can do with TK17 with a click. Plus the animations look stiff and awkward.  The sad thing about current sex games is they all tend to be VN's, TK17 is the only one that lets you pose and create pretty much anything you want.

  2. I can't speak for the admins, but I don't see the site going any where any time soon, I would not have donated to the site if I thought that was the case. The only way I see the site shutting down, is if another game comes along that can compete with TK17 or if a ton of modders leave.

Here you will find VX (or V10, whatever tickles your fancy), the last full version of the game. The team at KE is working hard on its second update, exclusive to this community. You can probably document yourself on the changes of TK17 VX by looking around.

But basically, the person working on V11 has basically been AWOL for quite a while now, so as of today, V11 is no longer being worked on as far as I'm aware. You will find the best version of TK17 here, exclusively.

I was not aware there was another update it the works, Now I am curious to what said update will be.

Now that I've seen the new "Fallout" series on Amazon, I was looking for an old H5 remake of the original " garage" room from MG which was redone to look like

a room in the vault  from the video game "Fallout" - anybody have this or know what I'm talking about?

I don't know about that specific room, I have not seen It on here. Here are a couple of fantastic rooms I would recommend if you are looking for that fallout theme.

It opens up to the model to which ever the cursor is pointing at/the last person it was pointing at/ or by default the 2nd model (assuming that the cursor is pointing at a blank space).

Thank you I have been pulling out my hair trying to figure this out. I wish it go by whatever model you have selected in pose edit.

  6. This is driving me crazy, how do you select the correct model in pose edit when you open the customizer with F12 or clicking on the icon? It seems random which model it opens the window for. Even if you select the model in pose edit and hit F12 or click the icon it seems to open the window for the second model.

There are several things that has been said and people tend to ignore it:

When you boot up the game and load into the main menu: having multiple rooms, clothing addon, body addons, toys, etc - can affect load time, BUT booting/loading into the main menu is not that long

When you load a scene/room/etc: NO - having multiple rooms, Clothing addons, H5 Objects DOES NOT affect load time. What affects load time here is the amount of poses, the size of you activemod folder, your models (what they are wearing and if the textures are in 4X, 2X, 1X, etc - remember, the higher it is, the more it will take), texture load (like I stated, the size of the textures: 4X, 2X, 1X, etc), the optimization of rooms and toys. Rooms: You are loading 1 room, not all of them - hence on why said having alot rooms does not affect load time - BUT if the room is not optimized (such as removing vertices/having over 1 million vertices), multiple textures to load, well if that is not address than yea - it can crank up load times. Toys are similar to rooms BUT toys are unique. When you load a room, you will also be load 'ALL' toys and if you have a lot of toys, that will crank up your load times. It is why we suggested that people create a system in which they can rotate toys in and out of there game (toys that they will be using for that scene)

My game is 150GB and after following your advice to remove toys and limit my poses down to a manageable amount, my load times are around 2-3 min and I have yet to have a crash. I think people make the mistake of downloading a ton of poses and toys not realizing the downsides of that, and when they get crashes they just assume they have too many add-ons or too big of a active mod folder.

I figured it out and it is something, I think that hdiddy will have to fix. There was a new body uploaded and he incorporated it into male morphing body and I replaced the body.bs file he uploaded in the comment section of that body and since that happened, I have had the floating eyelash issue.

    Hey erikku90 👋

    You mean this :sliders.jpg

Maybe you are missing this file ? :lua in body.jpg

It is in the MaleBody.V2 scene file :lua.jpg

This lua file should actually avoid the eyelash bug , maybe you forgot it ?

With default face it should look like this :eye.jpg

Maybe it is the facemod you use , that causes the bug ?

Otherwise you can add a comand in the DcDress script of a blouse , pant or what else ...so if the character wear it ,

    the eyelashes are gone .

    Dresscmd.jpg

If he wear this blouse , his eyes look that :

    eye nolash.jpg

With a little cosmetic you can suggest eyelids :

    eye liner.jpg

Maybe you can happy with that 😅

Just checked and the lua file is definitely there, I guess I will mess around and figure out a solution.

Interesting. I have reshade installed but haven't updated it in a long time. Honestly, I am satisfied with the current set up and in reality, I don't really input that much into it so this could be another reason for me to not update lol

Still, if others are having issues - please report. Be interesting to read more details on this.

The only reason I updated is because I am OCD and seeing the red message that I need to update was driving me crazy lol I am just lucky that I have multiple game folders for testing and backups and none of my other game folders were experiencing the issue, or I would have never figured it out. I just wish I knew what specific addon caused the issue.

  11. 5 minutes ago, HDiddy said:

I'm running ReShade 6 but I have never ran reshade with addons.  They added back in version 5.0 I believe.  That said I am not having any issues. Knock on Wood.

It was the first time I saw the installing the add-ons step, Well I am glad I figured it out. It is still concerning that the addons can affect hook5 textures like that. I hope this thread serves as a warning so no one else causes the same issue.

  12. 58 minutes ago, Smoke said:

Whoa - really reshade did this? I thought it was not capable of messing around with such things. (interfering with H5 files and other game elements as its just a overlay for the GUI)

With this new update, they added addons that do various stuff such as obs support and other stuff well one of the addons did this. It just means from now on I will back up my binary folder before updating reshade again.

  13. I have had no problem with H5 Skins loading then randomly today when I first load a model the skin does not load correctly nor does the Hairworks Load Correctly. If I reload with ctr+R the skin looks normal and so does the Hairworks. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out what caused this.

(I figured out the issue, the most recent update to reshade caused this issue, and reverting back to an older binaries file fixed the issue. If you update reshade to 6.0 beware it causes the issue I have stated above. )

YES!! I thought I am the only one that thinks this.  Everything from Daz pretty much looks the same.  Mainly because folks IMO or too lazy to make it even look somewhat unique. Which then just translates to many things in VaM looking the exact same way.  TK17 models have a certain character to them.  They are not perfect...but that is the thing they are beautifully flawed.  You look at the range of models people have come up here on KE, and honestly you simply do not find that range anywhere else.....IMO.

I thought I was crazy because every one was telling me how much better daz and vam models looked and I just didn't see it. I was wondering why all models from VN games look the same that explains it. I think the reason also is that vam and daz are going for the hyper realistic art style and you end up with the uncanny valley problem, where as TK17 graphics are excellent with hook 5 it still is not too realistic.

I'll be honest here, I feel like people have not used this game to its potential. I've seen people use this game as a base for their visual novel games and I'm just surprised that they aren't using H5 properly and to its max - which is a pity.

I may be in the minority, but I like the look of TK17 models better than Daz Studio or whatever people use to make VN's. The problem I have with a lot of VN's is the characters look like plastic and robotic, TK17 Models look more lifelike to me for some reason especially like you said with hook5

As for the original topic, I personally prefer to see what original models people come up with. Obviously, there's guys like @Morius, @gobman, @demonv1, @erikku90, @SovietTiger and @Driver to name a few that make truly exquisite and unique original models, and while saying that about my own work might sound biased, I do have an army of girls myself, most of which I shared for Christmas, with more to come in the future.

What appeals to me about TK17 is the creativity factor of it. Sure, you can get that with games like Koikatsu or Honey Select, for example, which are slightly more up my alley in terms of look and customization, which is a bit simpler than TK17 and I'm admittedly a sucker for Anime girls; but I've rambled on about how unintuitive their pose editor is. Another disadvantage of those is that, while they do have some sort of physics integrated in their engine, sex acts are not nearly as appealing as TK17's.

For me, variety is the name of the game, and honestly, TK17 delivers that in spades, BAR NONE. I can live without body and hair physics or clothes that universally fit all body types as long as I have the tools to make my characters look unique. And I think I have at least achieved that. As for the storytelling... You be the judge.

I've been doing comics on and off for over three years now, and there are still many stories I want to tell. The problem as always, is time and burn-out. That's why I decided to share my precious models, to see what other people can do with them. Comic book creation is as hard as making videos, doubly so when you're not just focusing on the sex, which is what I try to do. There is a feeling of accomplishment to seeing a comic finished and having people read it and "get it". Sometimes it's a miss, sometimes it's a hit beyond what you originally thought... The road to get there is a pain sometimes, but the end result is nothing short of amazing.

Obviously, you can click on my profile and see my Albums tab to see all the stuff I created and how I evolved since 2020 until today. And please check out my models if you want to play with them and they inspire you to do something creative. Just read the disclaimer and you will be fine!

The reason I stick with TK17  is that it is intuitive and simpler to use. Can you make better-looking screenshots with say Daz Studio or Vam, possibly but those programs are a pain to use or have limitations wich TK17 does not have, there has not been any other tool I have found that gives me the customization I want with models and also is simple to pose and animate models.

Personally - supporting it will just create drama. I'm at the point in which I don't want to be involved in AND drama series. Its just taxing on your personal time - that is what they want, for you to give them your time. This is just another major step for us to take and further implement our separate ways.

And the same healthy warning for anyone, don't fall for their 'sweet talk'. I've said this many times and warned people, don't do their doings/ don't do their dirty laundry - they will only use you to push their agenda and you will become the fall guy. You can be neutral and use both/any game and it should stay at that.

And their entire 'speech' of V11 being better. I really don't buy that. I was part of the 'closed beta' for VX, so assuming they redid certain steps (which it looks like they did in certain areas) -most of what they are saying is a lie with no real testing or evidence to back it, in short they are swinging it.

Yeah I have no desire to become a beta tester to a half ass project that does not even do what VX does, plus the only reason I can see the reason they made V11 is to try to give the middle finger to this community.

OH WOW THEY FINALLY DID IT!!!

So that day has finally come.  After 3+ years give or take a few "The Team" has finally released a Public Beta to V11.  Anyway if your interested its not that hard to find.  The F95 page has K17's announcement.  Now with the release of V11 usually comes the burning questions.

Is KE going to support V11?

The answer to that is a simple. No.  Team K17 doesn't want anything to do with KE, so there is no reason for us to support V11.

That said, V11s compatibility with Hook5 is minimal at best and is more akin to something like Hook4.  If you are one of those folks still using vanilla graphics, well this would certainly be an upgrade for you.  However without full Hook5 support and so much of the assets we use being dependent on it, it is something we cannot officially support.

So what does that mean?  Well If you want to use V11, that is on you.  Most mods should convert over with minimal issues.  Just be aware they will not go back, as V11 modifies the mod. (So make copies).  What it also means is if you have issue with a mod working or not working with V11, don't expect the maker of the mod to troubleshoot your issues.  In addition, please do not take mods and assets from KE to another site (ie. PhoenixGarden) to troubleshoot your problem there. We have a Zero Tolerance Policy around folks taking peoples mods and distributing them elsewhere.  So my advice....just don't try your luck.

In the end while it sucks things have to be this way, it is the best way to keep peace between the two camps.  Feel free to discuss here if you like, but please keep it civil.

    cc: @Administrator and @Moderator

Is V11 64 bit? And if so what is the point if it does not support hook 5.

We suspect that it has something to do with a update that we have in queue which we have decided to hold off on applying it seeing that the last time (oddly same time frame) we applied a update, it screwed up with the site and it created some false accusations and dumb unwarranted drama. We are looking into any side affects before proceeding with it.

Yeah updating now sounds like a bad omen lol

I get the frustration but don't let that be discouraging. There are great ways to self promote. You can use the Story and link the model in question. Create a Gallery. There are many tools here that you can use to your advantage.

It has not discouraged me in the least, I have been doing just that recently. My frustration has less to do with it affecting me and more that new users might see low-quality content and assume that is representative of the content available on here when that could not be further from the truth.
