For example, in this version, the background of the window (spa salon), I made from the plane, but in other ways (subdivide), when I tried to use the knife tool, the room flew out of the game, the same thing in the air force base room when I simulated mountains in the background. And it seems to me that the root of these problems lies precisely in n-gons.

  3. Hello. I will also add that double vertices must be removed in the blender file. You also need to apply all the changes (Ctrl + A select the one you want), such as scaling, rotation, and others, otherwise the objects in the game may not be at all where you expected.

    Hello. I won't say anything about ninja, I haven't used it, but 3D Ripper coped with the tasks quite successfully. Pulled BFG out of Doom some of the ship models from the X3 game series. But a problem arose, if the scene is large and there are open spaces, then some models were strongly distorted, as it were, according to the laws of perspective. The scene, containing many small details, hung the computer to death. The program allowed you to choose in which format to save the intercepted data plus textures. I think ninja works the same way, intercepts drawing commands

    Looks good, especially the last screenshot. I have the same bunch of items. Most of which I have not created. I remember I made a looped corridor and made the model run in a circle, killed three days for animation, it turned out pretty funny 😄. Try looking for inspiration in films. I've limited myself to science fiction lately.

But when I compared the two games 7.5 and VX, the choice was obvious - VX, and 7.5 DELETE. It's like remembering DOS or Win ’95. If a person is interested in something, he will move forward, learn new things. Otherwise, you will drive yourself into a corner; you will get bogged down in a routine 😢.

    It seems to me that 7.5 is a passed stage, so do not be afraid to get rid of an outdated and unnecessary thing, it is likely that in the process of switching to VX, you will lose some part of the content, but in any case, you will acquire something new, interesting , because life is moving forward. If not for the curiosity of our distant ancestors, then we would have lived in caves.

    I am not an ardent VX fanatic, and I do not lobby for someone's interests, I am far from the squabbles that revolve around 7.5 and VX, but why pour water on this mill? Again, there is such a saying “They don’t climb into someone else’s monastery with their charter.” 

    Use VX. 4 is better than 3 😁.

  11. I like the existing system of points, it was well thought out, although I did not find any special use for them. For me, a game is primarily a constructor in which I can implement my ideas. I usually spend some of my free time playing games switching between three programs: Blender, Photoshop, and VX.

    I believe that it is necessary to preserve the current system of points; this will ensure the further development of the resource.

  12. Let's try this option, without any textures at all. When loading, if everything is in order, you should have the option like in the screenshot, a silver sphere. This model has no textures at all, only materials assigned to polygons. These materials have all the defaults assigned by Blender. If the problem persists, then the reason is in the display of materials, here I can do nothing to help you. If this option works, then we will look towards textures.

    Most likely the error is due to some kind of mod. You said that you have quite a lot of them installed. Empirically, we found out that the problem is not in the number of peaks. The problem, I think, is in the display of the material that is assigned to the polygons of the model, and not in the texture. If your texture was not displayed, the model would still appear in the game, but it would be just a gray sphere, this also applies to R2D2, but this does not happen. Why this is so, I do not know, or the transparency of this material is turned on, you need to look at the .bs file. Only I don't understand this. The reason is clearly not in the .txf files, as this is an isolated case. Check, there should be Opaque everywhere, except for the file responsible for Lens. Let's see if someone has some fresh ideas.

    I couldn't remove the default position from my room and didn't rack my brains over it. The default position has coordinates (0; 0: 0) in these coordinates, the game creates a character model, I just moved the whole room in Blender so that one of the positions I need will fall into the default position, so the Model won't stick out of surrounding objects. Of course, this is not correct, but it suits me.

    When you create your positions in the rooms, in Blender, specify an empty "arrow" type with the Y-axis pointing towards your model's eyes. It's about the eyes, not the direction of the gaze.

    Thank you, in the evening I'll sit down in a calm atmosphere and figure it out. Not that this problem is so important to me, but it just became damn interesting. On the other hand, I still got out of the situation with a slightly different method. The game creates a model at a point with coordinates 0: 0: 0, I just moved the whole room in Blender, so that the game would create a model at the point I need in the game room.
