  1. Yep actually I thought of what HDiddy said later, and realized my post wasn't that much helpful.

I've actually had the same "issue" in the past: a black screen after importing huge number of poses to my game directory. But I waited, after reading a few tutorials on KE (although I never found HDiddy's one, which I'm going to eagerly read right now 🙂), so I simply waited on launch, and, after maybe... 3 minutes MAX, I landed on the main page. So this simply was the engine converting the poses to VX

If you still encounter the same problem despite HDiddy's advice, I think that it'd be helpful if you posted your error logs, so that people here have more info to better guide and help you.

You can find the logs files in The Klub 17[your game's main directory]/Logs. I believe that the files are named "good-bye-t**.log, and Klub-10.log, however someone else will have to confirm that these are the files you should post in this thread should you still encounter the same black screen issue.

  2. Hello!

What I would do in your position would simply locate where you’ve extracted the poses from the pack you’ve downloaded —EDIT: What I meant was: have you looked for the poses in other folders than the one you usually use? They can be found in /Save, but also /Community/PoseEdit, in addition to the obvious /Pose —then either:

    1. The safest way: delete the poses - I believe it’s worse to lose your entire TK17 folder than a few poses;

    2. Move the poses you’ve located to another folder, located outside of your TK17 game directory - on your desktop, for instance -, try running the game. If it works fine, I think that the easier way would be to re-download the poses mega pack - that’s at least my humble opinion, as I imagine that finding a possibly corrupted download pose file, among thousand of them, would be quite time consuming.

If this doesn’t work, do not despair, for there is still hope!

You don’t have to re-install the game and therefore lose your favorite content.

You should try running the game in “Clean Mode”. Go to your TK17 main directory, then /Binaries, then open OptionsMan.exe. On the first tab, you will find an option named (sorry if I’m wrong, I’m not in front of my laptop ATM) “Run in Clean Mode”.

This will run the game with absolutely no adds, mods, et cætera running.

if this works, this means that an add on (or, probably, an incomplete download) is at fault.

keep us posted and I, or other people way smarter than me, will help you once you have more information to help us pinpoint your problem. 🙂

i hope this will help. 🙂

  3. I'm very new to all of this (while I was enjoying "The Villa" years ago, I have only re-discovered it very recently and the awesome work the community did to improve it), I think that while it is a good very good system to reward content creators (who are the very reason I signed up on this website, since they are the backbone of the game today), I'm still a bit confused regarding, say, "my place".

I've seen the word "leecher" a lot, and while I agree on the premise, in my case, having no technical know-how to create and share content, or to help people with very technical issues, say, in FAQ, I fill, well, a bit useless...

I want to reward the efforts of the content-makers, whose role I've already acknowledged, but I'm still confused about this system regarding how I can reward them, if I can't get points by sharing content I cannot create... 🙂

Anyway, that's still new to me, but I believe there shouldn't be such a divide between the content creators, and those who want to contribute but can't, who want to support them - the word "leecher" seems extremely negative for those in this position. 🙂

    My two cents!

  4. Hello everyone, and greetings from France!

First of all, I would like to thank all the people who gave their time to create this new community. I have to say that, as a "newcomer", I am really impressed by the community-centered which seems to be the reason why so many people are still enjoying this game!

As for me, sadly, I have absolutely no "3D-modelling" skills. So I admit that I'll surely won't contribute at first, but I have to say that thanks to the many, many creation tools created by all of you, I can't wait to acquire the required skills to, one day, share with you my favorite creations, once they'll be of a sufficient quality.

A warm thank you to everyone here!
