Not 100% guaranteed to work but you can through the "Auto Save" feature, just go to "Load Pose" into PoseEditor and click on "Auto Save" icon; that should be enough

Of course, keep into account that is an auto save feature and these have their own fails

It won't be necessary but is highly recommended for you to make a backup of your Binaries, Active Mod, Addons and Save directories (to preserve your vanilla models) before installing H5, then if something fails you can reverse to vanilla through it

About textures, yes you'll have to download again or do your own H5 maps for them

While Intel 7th and 8th (i3, i5 and i7) generation have overall bad reputation most reviews of the 8400 are satisfactory with tons of people that have bought it with economy in mind and finally realizing they aquired a ratherly unknown powerful CPU; of course and by marketing it was announced by its boosted power 4.00 Ghz (turbo boost) rather than its nominal (2.8 Ghz) but you're overall good with that CPU

Regarding GPU the 1050 (depending if its the 3GB or 2GB or the 4GB Ti) you're actually ok for a decent run as its a DirectX12 capable GPU, of course performance will vary on the exact version of the video card but you might get better performance if is the 1050Ti rathen than the regular 1050
Here you're clearly far above me, you should read the guides in tutorials and give H5 a try, by far I'd say you'll have a decent time doing static shots and I bet a decet frame rate too if you don't go overkill with 4K textures for everything

Now regarding your episodes with the flight sim I would recommend you to check CPU and GPU temps with your head technician or asses yourself if you have the means
I have no info regarding P3D but it can be the game, most simulation games are rarely optimized and a massive waste of hardware resources; I empathically understand the interest on simulation but I don't share the masochism of their users

In the first case, with just the valve you can easily create the hose in Blender by starting a curve with your 3D cursor located at the rear edge of the valve, beveling such curve from geometry tab in object data properties and finally convering it to mesh; thus you can make a UV map and texture it
