it's an old bug from GreatCharm addon. Update, remove addon or look for an option in Options manager.exe - dp16options. If you run out of memory when reloading a room, don't reload, just restart the game.
-download and install Everything(search program),
-add it to context menu(right click menu) when you install it
-right click the add-on, search with Everything
-type GUI, then right click GUI and search with Everything, type icon. Right click blank space in Everything and set to large thumbnails. Set Everything to search for images only in "View" tab.
-find your add-on and copy the name. Set Everything to search for everything.
-then right click add-on repack and search for that name and you should find all related files using that name: acc, dress, scene, texture, txf and icon.
-select and copy them all in another folder
-create Scene, Scripts, etc folders the same as the add-on pack. If you don't know where the file should go, search again in Everything and it shows the path. You have to create that same folder structure. After you create the folders, make a copy for future add-ons.
-after you're done, name your add-on folder and compress it as zip. Sometimes, game doesn't add folders for some reason. You can extract it after you see it working in game.
You don't. You copy the file from another room and edit. You can add it to the base add-on room or create an activemod room. In Activemod you can edit files, in Addons you are limited.
I'm not sure, but all default rooms in VX have activemod support. It means if you copy the textures, from the base add-on and place them in a folder in Activemod, the game will add it as a new room. There you can place your level definition and hook5 will read it.
There are 3 modes for keys: Smooth, Linear and Flat. Default, when you create a frame is Smooth
You can left-click on the smooth green line, next to the red K, to change it to Linear, then Flat. Right-click for more options, Group, All.
Smooth: adds more at the end to make the motion smoother
Linear: moves from key to key
Flat: starts and stops with a smooth motion. Perfect for simple back and forward motion.
Hold left-click and move the cursor on the model you want to edit in Customizer window(F12). Hold right-click on the model to rotate the camera around the model. To edit an animation you have to select model (1, 2, 3, 4 keys)
Download new eyes and use those textures. You need both stage 2-normal map(usually blue texture) and stage3-specular map.
When you select Iris, because eyeiris.png doesn't have a _pass file, hook5 effect will not load. You can make same _pass.txt for both eyewhite.png and eyeiris.png
Dark texture means you are missing stage2 and/or stage3 from _pass.txt or the path to those files is incorrect.
my guess is that you copy/paste the first frame and then uncheck all values(K) you don't need, right?
Press K on you keyboard to enable Auto Key. This will check a value(K) when you move something(arms, legs, hip, etc). Shift+K will enable Global key that allows you to modify all vales for all frames.

1. Find name of dress in DcDress,
-For toys it is TcTools file in Scripts/Shared/Commoon
"Tool38335_ToolDescription"
2. Open the scene file, Ctrl+F in Text Editor for all instances of "FileObject.FileName"
For example you find
FileObject :local__alt_FILEOBJECT FileObject.FileName "Shared/Item/R9Toy335__alt";
>"Shared/Item/R9Toy335__alt"<
So you write for each FileObject.FileName you found:
"Shared/Item/R9Toy335__alt" , "R9Toy335__alt" , "Tool38335_ToolDescription" ,
^Found in FileObject.FileName, ^Can be anything, ^Name of Addon from DcDress/TcTools
Create a (for example) "R9Toy335.ActiveMod.bs" in Scripts/Shared directly, and write.
Hair works at 60 FPS. After 10s I use afterburner to increase FPS limit to 80 and hair starts to jitter. I limit the FPS from 80 to 60, one FPS at a time. With each FPS I drop, the hair reacts and jumps abruptly. As I decrease FPS, the hair starts to jitter less. At 61 FPS the hair still jitters but less frequent. At 60fps the hair doesn't jitter anymore.
camera_rotation is the name of the camera obj
needs a flat surface to work. Sometimes image shows up on another surface than the screen.
you can disable the camera(to save FPS) and change main rendering to it. See main11.fx what key to use.
