If you want the history SV2, I suggest you go over gamerotica. A lot of current modders here and phoenix garden started there. In fact you can still see their accounts on there and their content are mostly preserved. Although gamerotica use a special SV2 file over there for content if you download anything though, you can unpack all that by downloading the base SV2 game and have it unpack the files for you. Just make sure you remember where the directory the game is installing the file to. Things like rooms etc is not really compatiable with V10. But things like models, skin texture etc are compatible if you are familiar with the modding and don't mind manually add pass files and renaming the texture files. Just stay away from any mods that require lua files since it's completely different between the V10 and SV2 64 bit. This is as far as my knowledge goes on this matter and is attained through hours of personal playing around with both games so it might not be exactly all true, so take it with a grain of salt. This is how I imported all the best model, "IN MY OPINION" ever made in SV2. Briar27's models lol.

you should share them! and anything else you find interesting from there

Maybe he's actually talking about the actual Sexvilla 2 64 bit made by thrixx. I still have the game since i bought the game through lifetime unlock piece by piece instead of using their monthly sub. Sexvilla 2 uses 64 bit now since 2012 i think. The version that TK 17 uses is a build before the 64 bit came out. That is why it only uses 32 bits. I mean you can still download the 64 bit verison from the Thrixx site.

since i've poured thousands and thousands of hours into this game, i'm kind of interested in sexvilla even though it's been years since i've used it. I'm just interested in the history and the backstory of it (seems like it might be the work of europeans). Honestly quite the robust game they put together that i'm still having fun with it after all these years, and nothing else still even comes close in my opinion. good on those guys.

Anyways, not surprising that the new version is no longer computable with hook 5. it's unfortunate but i'm sure many of us has seen the writing on the walls for years now. Split community and technology progression means we have to settle with what we have, at least for the moment. I don't think a single session passes now where i don't run out of memory quickly, repeatedly, and frustratingly. but i've mitigated it somewhat. I uninstalled half my activemod folder because you can't really use everything even a fraction of the time. there's no reason to have hundreds of mods installed. So my game size went down from 100gb to 50gb. I started baking my skin layers. I start every room in complete darkness and without objects, then turn them on progressively. I was initially against doing this, but it saves me more time turning them on/off than it does to constantly restart the game. and that's about it.

love the hell out of this game, even when i get bored with it. and i appreciate the community. the drama is quite boring but unavoidable. both sides put a lot of work and effort into what they're doing, and the users who don't participate in the community aren't going to suddenly start if the drama stops.

I no longer remember what was the problem, but I fixed it somehow. I can send you my files, you may compare the scripts to see what I had to change.

Also, you can try to enable latex options in OptionMan, some legacy addons (especially dp16's) still use them -  as dress options. Might be the reason why yours doesn't work.

    Latex Corset for MC THICC - metalcorey.7z 6.98 MB · 8 downloads

that was the issue. i enabled latex options in the option manager and now i'm able to use all the addons. i remember at some point i cleared my cache and it reverted all my options so i must've forgotten that one. so knowing all these addons work, i should upload them to the downloads section myself, but i've been having issues uploading things for some reason. For now, people can use the ones uploaded here and just check the options manager

wow, that was quick! i'm sure it's that issue with the options manager. i can't find the option right now but i'll be sure to try this out sometime this week. thanks.

  5. I've had these files and a bunch more for awhile but just realized they no longer work in VX for some reason. Seeing as how the Thicc addon has little clothing, seems we could use these (i had actually assumed they were already here or in dp16's archive). i'm pretty sure these were working at some point. I do at least have a picture of the Bowsette corset from a recently as last year. when I use it now, it comes in a different configuration with the breasts and genitals exposed. I have no idea why or how to fix it. The bowsette boots actually work. The petite and tiny bikinis, i think these were made for a couple different bodies by dp16 and you can switch between the bodies, but i'm not sure. Anyways, here's a few items and their textures, and some previews. I have more too but I have to check to see if they work.

These are her original links to the "Legacy Edition" of those addons, which were her own conversion from R9X to VX done back in the late MG days. I just happened to have them 🙂 These are her own uploads prepared by her own hands, I'm sure she wouldn't mind me sharing it. Such a nice girl she was ☺️

great, those are the hook files i was looking for. the textures and the addons were already in HDiddy's archive in the downloads section, but they were missing the hook files. thanks. you should upload all of those to the downloads section with previews, btw

  7. I remember now years ago encountering this issue. it is definitely an inherent behavior of the hip+shift manipulation. but when i move both characters, all i experience is "hip drift" and none of my other keys are affected. it takes less than a minute to fix, it immediately occurred to me, and i almost asked about this earlier, that the genitals in your video are connected. connected genitals always ruin everything. i don't have any poses that use them. if it's common for interactive poses, i don't know, because i haven't used those for years. i only use animations. solutions include disconnecting the genitals, disabling "all person" movement, then move each model individually. very simple fix and i really don't think this is the huge issue you made it out to be, because there are many more time consuming behaviors i can think of, mainly clipping. we spend far too much time making sure poses don't clip while more modern games like the ones by Illusion and VirtaMate solved that issue years ago. if we were able to fix that, you would never have to convert poses, they would just work automatically.

    ...That's not the issue.

The fact that you keep missing the point over and over and default to the easy route of "Hey, this guy is probably a noob. DAE enable global key editing??" is a perfect example of why it feels like on this forum, there's a bunch of people who talk big game/as if they're experienced, only then to upload either garbage poses, low-quality objects/models that look like they were made in Sims 2, and similar.

How can I trust opinions on here when there's users like you who talk like you know things, but you can't even see the problem here (I even linked a video clip showcasing the problem quite clearly)., or can't see how being able to move a pose with different heights without messing it up would be massive.

I'm not talking about never needing to adjust poses, especially ones you get from KlubExile or other users - once again, that's not the issue. We are not talking about adjusting someone else's poses to fit your own models or similar.

What we're talking about here is that once you have created a perfect pose with different height characters - if you want to move the pose/multiple characters to another location with global key editor enabled - whether through the hip slider OR TKXUtilities, it is not possible without messing up the pose, because both options just don't work and mess up the pose instead.

That's why we're looking at the DP16 Addons and it's bandaid solution, because even if it's a bandaid - it does seem to solve this issue, and it literally would save insane amounts of time for animators and lead to more experimentation and more complexity in the poses as well.

well, to be fair i have been using this program for almost 20 years probably, and while i may come off as a smartass, i promise that i am trying to help you (and i can also agree all day about how the game sucks). i watched your video earlier but you don't play the animation after you moved it, so unsure if the animation works. in a few hours, i'll be home from work and i can try and recreate the issue on my machine.

It does not if your characters are different heights. That's the point.

Edit: Correction - You're right about rotation. Rotating 90/180 degrees etc does not mess up the animation even with multiple characters selected, unlike rotating the hip slider. Even if the characters are different height, using the TKX Utilities to rotate the whole pose 180 degrees or whatever you need will work. However, the main issue - position, still remains and cannot be solved with TKX Utilities.

No, the band-aid fix (DP16 Solution) means you wouldn't need to adjust. All you'd have to do now is just move a couple of morph sliders instead, which would not even be a fraction of the time-spent compared to manually adjusting every frame.

As for the bigger picture - The fact that you have to adjust in the first place is exactly the problem. Not only is it something that you shouldn't have to do in the first place, but like I said in the original post - this greatly limits the complexity of poses, because "adjusting" a very complicated pose with a lot of keyframes and small details is insanity, which means it naturally disincentivizes people from making complex poses, because deep down everyone's thinking that the moment they'll move their pose just slightly - the pose is going to be fucked, and all the time and effort they put into the pose will go down the drain. There's no re-usability.

I've only been here for about a year, and while I get the fact that people get used to just dealing with the limitations of the software (I've certainly had to comes to terms with it myself many times) - this one is just something that can't be overlooked.

Whether with a band-aid solution or a real fix - this issue must be addressed, and should remain at the forefront of people's thoughts until it is.

i think what actually discourages people is the fact that animation is a steep learning curve. what you were initially describing (hip drift) is something every animator has had to suck up and deal with since the game first came out, and i don't think it's nearly the issue you're making it out to be. actually what you're describing, adjusting every frame, manually editing key frames, small details being ruined, the pose being ruined, ect. is not an issue that animators regularly deal with, and now I'm concerned you're not enabling "global key editing" which allows you to move poses without ruining the animation. it's next to the key icon in the pose editor and the icon looks like three arrows going up and down. for some reason when you start pose editing, this feature is not enabled by default and you need to enable it, which i had to figure this out for myself at some point as well. when we move a pose with all the key frames, and the partners drift apart, it's a simple matter of just reconnecting the penis and vagina. the same amount of adjustments you would need to do with a mod.

Will probably pose something later, but for those of you who are curious by using DP16's Room Import and Anim11_Motor Addon, along with the RoomImport AM folder you are able to import a room position that can be modified with sliders, rotation, and translation.  Now for me I tweaked those add-ons for my needs...so  can probably post something later.

    See below...

(Edit..seems like OBS records native h.265 had to convert)

oh yeah i've seen some rooms with morphs that do the same thing so it stands to reason you could make an addon like that for all rooms. the issue is though i think, that each time you open a new pose it effectively resets the location, doesn't it? so you're essentially creating and saving a whole new pose anyways. it's a pose edit mod. but if the location you chose was persistent with every pose you opened, eliminating the need to switch locations each time, that would be more of a room location mod. that would be interesting.

and yeah, that issue with the rotation breaking the animation can definitely be solved with utilities. i hadn't considered the vertical axis but the need to rotate a pose that way has never come up. i'm usually rotating it horizontally towards a light source

  11. 1 hour ago, Acacius said:

Yeah, except the problem is this does not fix the problem. Even if you move/rotate with TKX Utilities, it will still function the same way as if you would do it with just moving the hip slider.

Bottom line is - even with TKX Utilities, it does not solve this problem whatsoever.

It's different. if you ever tried rotating an animated pose in pose editor with the hip slider, it will not rotate the animation. however the rotation function in utilities allows for 360 degree animation rotation.

If that's not what you're referring to, I'm not sure I understand the issue at all then, because it sounds like by the time you've done all this "band-aid," you would've just been better off just adjusting the big man/small woman pose in the editor and saving it (something i got used to with nickcockman poses), unless this dp16 motobike mod allows you to mass produce the results on the fly AND save them

  12. i don't recognize it as anything? so would be best to create it yourself from scratch using the line tool in PS. if you're using PS to attach them to skin shouldn't be too difficult. i did that once and what i would do is save the skin, then refresh it in the game (alt+r) to see if it looks good. then i'd go back and adjust it, save, refresh, ect. until it looked good. now i use the the hook 5 skin system to attach tattoos to skins

    I see...

Now I'm curious as to what specific skills would one need to potentially hire someone to look into all of this and find some sort of a solution. I'm sure there's some programming freelancer/guru whatever that could find a way to solve this, given enough monetary compensation.

What experience would one need to have some sort of a chance of fixing this problem? Put it this way - if you had a programmer buddy who would be willing to help, what skills/what things he should be looking into in order to possibly solve this or perhaps make an addon-type bandaid solution, kind of how Hook 5 is a (great) band-aid solution for the game's visuals.

uhhh he's describing a completely different game so you're basically talking about creating a new game engine and a new game from the ground up.

if you want a new model height/size/shape for a pose then you will need to make a completely new pose. that's just how it's always been. before i concede that the pose editor is obtuse and restrictive, let's keep in mind that it's a 20 year old porn sandbox and whoever did it decided to do it pretty damn good for the time.

not sure what this dp16 mod is, sounds intriguing, but the utilties program let's you move/rotate poses and that's how i do it.

  14. it's been so long that i've used any of those buttons (probably 2007 or something lol) that i really can't remember what most of them do or what they were for. and even then, it's possible that even with those files there this feature never worked. some things in the base game were just there as "flavor," had no function, and was there for your imagination (like the personality in customizer).

hook interferes with lots of the base game's features such as the liquid sliders and the skin, so my suggestion would be to play with the game vanilla (no mods) and experiment to see if it does anything. maybe if you use a vanilla skin, a base game pose, wait until the orgasm meter is full, and then hit the creampie button it will create some sort of visual effect on the skin.

  15. there are far more than 3 factors. intensity, ambient, RBG, cubemaps, skyboxes, angles, rotations, axis, ect. are just a part of it. every single line in a level definition is a factor, like a script or a program. the only way to create uniformity (aside from going line by line and changing each value for each room) is to start from scratch. create your own level definition then copy it to other rooms without changing it. but even then, the way light reflects off of the meshes and textures in these other rooms will probably create an illusion to your eye that it is not the same. not to sound like a smartass but this literally is how light works and what you're describing (flat, uniform lighting that looks the same all the time) is more of a "cartoon" effect like vanilla or hook 3.

  16. anal ooze and it's not from the pose edit slider? happens in free mode and customizer? i've never seen that

my suggestion is try installing just the base game and then hook 5. give up on the repack until you can isolate the issue more closely

  17. seems like an issue with the skin type in the customizer. check your skin to see if it's 1x, 4x, or skin system. then in the customizer, make sure the appropriate skin mod is selected (4x for 4x, 1x for H5 skin system, ect.). you have to reload the room or customizer after making this selection for it to take effect. also make sure the right skin is selected in the drop down menu. the skins are listed by numbers (01-10, ect.) but will display the name when you hover over them. i can see you are new so hook 5 can be a bit advanced. do other skins work? try downloading a different one, follow instructions closely, ect.

  18. I don't have the game in front of me but I'm pretty sure that it is just a generic, shared name for an H5 object folder which i also have. When people share H5 objects, they tend to use and include that folder so that all the objects stay together and make less clutter. so there's no one true source or package, and you're not missing out on any content. all the objects available are there in the downloads section and it is best to pick and choose because if you downloaded all of them it would probably be over 100gb

  19. This morning I was finally able to resolve my issue with the downloads section. i did this by uploading the files from a completely different computer and internet connection. so i don't know exactly what caused the issue or how to solve it, but it was probably somewhere on my end and i was able to just work around it I guess.

Hmmm odd that it would do that. I just uploaded a file with no problem.

The number ID stuff is weird because that is usually created on old files that was migrated.

yeah i'm at a loss. i got the idea to try uploading just one of the files, but that didn't work either. tried both zip and 7z. upload bar looks fine like in attached pic until i'm done filling out all the details and hit submit, then it changes to the upload bar like in the pic in the original post. i'll stop trying for now.
