New room idea. Maybe it could looks nice.

I'm thinking about the idea of mixing the room with hook 5 objects.

Also the building are empty and to small to create anything inside.

Maybe i could scale them up and let empty place so people could make their own inside with h5m.

H5m allow to disable the outside vegetation when you want to be inside and vice-versa. 

 

Creating the inside and the outside without h5m is currently impossible since there way to much vegetation.

Deleting all vegetation to make place for the inside could be an idea.

Or simply make the inside under a new addon name.

 

Still not sure i will finish this room, but if you have idea or comment, they're welcome.

I would be very happy with this as just an outside scene, not Hook dependant.  But that's because I don't use Hook. And I like outdoor scenes...  :classic_smile:

If you compare BergerRoom23 (Standard room) and BergerRoom24 (Hook 5 object room), do you see any big FPS differences ?

Depends on how many objects are implemented. The standard room and the H5M version for me dips only a couple frames, 52 on the standard (with the lighting turned off), to 45 with the H5M version. But the room isn't large and there aren't many objects. Now furnishing the interior of this WIP room with H5M objects? That's going to create some serious framerate issues, especially for folk not running up to date hardware. With Hunter's last room, which he also furnished with H5M objects, my rig dips down to 38-30fps, where as the Standard version I'm well over 60, granted that version has no leveldef.

Point being, if you're going to furnish with H5M objects, don't be heavy handed with them. Some people's hardware may not even be able to load the room without crashing because it's sucking up so much GPU usage.

I don't think i'm really interested atm to put inside furniture, ... way to lazy... but at least i have modified the build so they are large enough to create something inside.

My previous room, Romantic Santorini, was a blender file of 330MB.

This one was 1gig but i reduce it to what i have now 500MB.

The good point is that i wont need a lot of texture for the outside scene. But i don't know if it will be playable yet ... Crossing finger till i am ready to create an addon to test 😝

So clearly no inside if the outside can't be turned of (h5m).

Probably just gonna make like room23 and 24. A normal version and a h5m verison.

Anyway, i need to test, can't wait to see the result and how it will looks ..
