The double chevron in the sleeve is upside down if it was a US ensign. But taking into account that that eagle seems to be the Polish emblem, and the weapon in the soldier's arms looks like an English sten, that could be an irregular Polish soldier infiltrating continental Europe before the D-Day invasion. Or a Polish resistance soldier just before the Warsaw uprising patrolling the woods before the Soviets steamrolled the Nazis in 1944.  Or even a Partisan in Yugoslavia, those dudes were clothed and armed with anything.

I insist in him being Polish, because the ensign one wears in the head (and nowadays in the shoulder), is maybe the most important of all. Not many soldiers would wear any other countries' or cause if you truly don't believe in it.

In any case... I invented 3 a whole new stories just with your pic. And I think that's awesome. Thanks for the inspiration 😄

I believe that is Corporal rank of the British Army. You are right about the berret, the was model ported by johnnyutah and was taken from a Polish beret mod for FO3.

Enjoyable stories.. :classic_laugh:

This is 'loosely' based on the 1st Airborne (Paras) of the British Army, WWII.  Also known as the 'Red Devils' due to their distinctive crimson berets.

Must admit I really didn't look at the beret emblem.  And the arm insignia would be a British Corporal, as @demonv1 pointed out.  But  overall, just a generic representation given the limitations of the cloths I've used.

Screenshot - Norway, 1942.

( Generic Norway, of course :classic_laugh: )

Well, every person has a different mindset. I'm a eastern front specialist with commie sympathies (SovietTiger... It's shocking, I know!); that's why I identified the beret I guess.

In any case, I like the photos based on the world war that you have been doing these days. And as always, looking forward to what you upload next 😉
