Well unfortunately not everyone is going to like how things work.  If your intent is to download as much as you can as fast as you can....well, that is not the model here. If you wish to have your account deleted there are options in Account settings for you to request a deletion.

Before you do that though. Let me challenge your opinion a bit. You say you rip 3X Pose Packs...well post a couple. Maybe post some reviews or at least a reaction to the things you have already downloaded 😉.  After a few days if you are still not satisfied, go forward with your deletion request.

I had some. I moved them to LoversLab. Still working on the rest.

@althekoolkid sorry that you feel that way. On the contrary to what you said. I've monitor some people who really haven't uploaded any content but in many ways helping the community by answering questions or do other interactions.

To support @x17 statement. MG in many ways was becoming a shell of its former self. I started uploading stuff there and people would just DL and leave and give no feedback. On a couple instances, I uploaded a old addons by mistake. And people really didn't call out that it was not functioning correctly. It was only some time later where actual users would stumble upon it and mention such issue. Personally I found that annoying because, it either showcases/highlights the following: lack of support to creators, leechers paradise, toxic environment - take everything and give nothing, etc.

Now that MG died because of bad management, we decided to try and salvage the good part and invite those active users. Invitation is open for all but we decided to incentivize on being active. Of course those that are active will thrive but those that decided to sit back and take all will not.

And its kinda sad because the system is really easy but people are having such a problem on logging in that they start mentioning a false narrative.

The DL limit is to prevent leeching and in hopes to create feedback on content. And in other ways help the person enjoy said content and help the user from overwhelming themselves as they can DL a faulty mod/addon.

With the whole notions of XP and money. Again, there is no money involved. But if the moon is made out of cheese, its made of mozzarella - dark side of the moon, American pepperjack.

Either way, the system we are trying to create isn't perfect. Its still a WiP and we looking into ways of improving it, what we also know, despite having some negative feedback - the positive feedback has out weight the feedback that is not "good".

You guys are the bosses and I respect your decision whether I agree with it or not. Its just not for me. I only had one upload so far, so no real loss to the community I guess. I'll continue to rip and decode official content on my own time and see how the system has improved in a year or so. Maybe I'll have enough content to upload then. For now it has little appeal to me and (though I had been inactive for a few years) I'm not even (solely) a leech.

The point of XilePoints ( excuse my pun, lol ) is not necessarily only to slightly nudge people to create and upload mods - but also to interact in any creative, constructive way. Because points are gained in that way, too. Altough much more for uploading mods. I dont see any "scarcity of mods" here - people constantly upload stuff, and some upload brand new stuff.

So, someone who doesnt make mods at all - but is interacting constantly ( assuming theyre not spamming, lol ), will be well off. Note that you use XilePoints only ONCE to unlock the content, and after that you can download it as many times as you want without need to spent points again. So, its just points for unlocking.

But there is also one thing that many people oversee - in truth, vast majority of stuff here is completely "free" and doesnt even require XilePoints to download. So, you see a solid accumulation of points for anyone interacting in any way, and unlocking eventually everything.

I dont think its unfair for modders to get more points for uploading their stuff - this is the whole point of the site, to rekindle the whole TK17 modding scene. But its not hard at all for someone who is not a modder at all, to participate and interact in ways and extents they can, and still get enough of points.

Were here active more than 4 months ... and in that time, we have got very few requests to delete account based on XilePoints system alone. Maybe a dozen at most. At this moment, we have 2637 members in total, so we could say that system is working. We have more new content created than MG had in whole last 2 years  ... so this makes a big difference. MG didnt have any points mechanism and anti-leeching measures in place - yet this havent contributed at all to creation of new mods. In truth, the MG has become very barren in last several years and we have all seen this.

So, to reiterate - XilePoints here is merely an anti-leeching measure and slight nudge for anyone to create and interact more. It doesnt mean it will be here forever, and it all depends on people in community - especially newcomers. In truth, if people in general would contribute more to any site in any way through their own initiative, then this whole system would be pointless.

I guess I didn't mean a "scarcity" per say, but more that a lot of content was lost with MG. I'm sorry to hear that it became barren in its late life. It was thriving and active, last I used it.  I did notice most content doesn't require points and (with all due respect) I hope it stays that way (see edit).  I'm (sorta') okay with the occasional "unlockable content" but I don't think it would be effective if it were widespread.

I also agree that the larger contributors should be rewarded over average leaches. Maybe a content promotion system that features creators and encourages continual uploads may be a useful tool? Much like NexusMods endorsement system.

EDIT: Actually I take that back. A lot of stuff I downloaded free this week now requires exile points. Probably 6 times what I've accumulated in my first week. I'm not trying to be combative and (while it may not be much) I do have something to offer the community, but I think the system will definitely be a turn off for new members and stunt growth. Also, as you said, it will encourage spam or unnecessary posts (people posting "thanks" when it already exists in the reaction system. The useful information is going to get convoluted with unnecessity. At the very least you'll have screenshot sharing threads with 1000's of posts to farm XP and actual download content won't really be effected.

Obviously this is  a new system and I (and everyone else) has little experience with it, but I predict that it will have economical consequences. I hope I'm wrong and I'm willing to find out, but (while the intentions may be good) I don't think its going to be a productive system.

Again, I'm not trying to be challenging. . . Just my two-cents.

Edit Two: Ran into the daily file limit as well. . . . I think I'm out. This is entirely counterproductive to people trying to start again with a fresh install. Not really worth the hassle for me. I wish you all the best of luck. @admin Can you PM me. Cant figure out how to delete my profile.

Can anyone give me a hand with the "Out of Memory" problem?

I already have the 4GB patch and removed several poses and addons that I'm not planning to use anytime soon. I saw there was another help guide on here, tried it, but I'm still having issues.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Which section host the "4gb" patch? I'm not sure if I have it. I was super confused when I got a memory crash with 64GB of RAM.

Well it seems no one wants free XP

Still onto my next phase. Whats the point?
Well great question! You can use those XP and "unlock/buy" an item.

Nooooo before someone start screaming "dEr, I'z ToLlD yOuZ gUy!". No! Not with money but with XP!

    • Currently the Addon section is almost "complete" and will need further testing. (Note that textures are too cramped up into the section)
    • All clothing items has a range between 10-30XP needed to unlock and buy.
    • Rooms are still free but since it does require more work. Was thinking of making them 30XP needed to unlock as well.

Keep in mind, check your Members Shop and XP bank to see how much XP you got! From there, you can how much was deducted, etc.

(I would like to also point out there is a technical issue on our end. It was intended that the creator can set his/her XP prices. But it was not sticking and only we can stick prices, So to keep this going and instead of it being a total waste - the decision for us to toggle XP put forth. So Addons for the most part will be used to further test it out and to implement it on to other content. But feedback is needed)

    I hope I'm reading this wrong. . . . and not understanding it correctly. . .

So when fully implemented individual downloads will require XP to unlock?
I get that this is designed to eliminate leeching and promote activity, but with the current scarcity of content it seems counterproductive. . . and like it has too much potential to become one of those "private" mod communities where the people with the most technical knowledge/skill have potential to overrun everyone else.

For instance. Lets say I want to upload a model. . . with this system in place (considering I have a fresh install, little technical knowledge and exactly zero addons), I have no access to add-ons and no way to upload original content. . . I have base models and clothing/accessories that come with TK17 and its basic updates. This seems like "a you have to expend resources to make resources" approach may be necessary. Locking downloads behind any kind of wall seems like a major hindrance to community growth.

Trying to reclaim old MG content in unorganized chucks is going to get messy and I hope that's not what the system is in place to do. It be better off to start fresh. Again you're going to run into the same issue mentioned above. All of the migrated, heavy-hitter, content creators will be gaining XP at a heavily increased rate when uploading archived personal content, and people starting fresh will be begging for scraps.

Again, I hope I am misunderstanding, and this "rant" is for nothing. . . but on the off chance I'm not misunderstanding, I urge the mods to reconsider.

  6. Hello everyone, I am althekoolkid. I went by ATKK21 on MG and I was most know for ripping official poses from the 3X website for editing and converting to TK17. I never edited any poses myself, but a lot of the megapacks you were used to on MG probably had a pose or two that I had ripped from 3X, and were fixed by the MG community members.  I had been absent for a few years and just came back to all this news. Maybe I can look into starting over again. . .

P.S. I love the Voldemort reference. Sorry. Ill stick to 3X officially.
