    As a follow up, installing to a new location and gradually moving everything over to the new install location seems to have 'fixed' it, because it's no longer a problem in the new install location.  That counts as being resolved in my book.

    Figured it out: the file isn't arranged correctly.  Under Addons\R9ZRoom385\Scenes\Luder, the R9ZRoom385 folder needs to be dragged into the Room folder.

    Solved it myself.  Room's file / scripts / luder / Room Folder / opening AcRoomCollision.bs, deleting everything in the file.  No collisions!

    I figured it out myself, I had latex options disabled in Options Manager and that's where the setting was.  I'll leave this up in case anyone else has the same question but feel free to delete this post if it's not necessary.
