The customizable skin feature for Hook5 works really well for this.  With Hook5 basic you get access to skin layers, but Hook5 paid is better because you can also use displacements to get actual 3D textures.  This is a link to a sperm mod.  Haven't seen any bruising on the site yet, sorry.
