Would it be possible to make toy that's basically a transparent sign?

I've only really ever converted 3d models I've found into toy objects but was wondering if it's possible to basically have a 2D plane toy for putting images onto?
The idea is that for my next project I've got the character walking along a hallway and I wanted the credits to fly past her but then follow her just briefly before falling behind (otherwise I'd have just used a h5 object).

I have an old 'Blood Splatter' toy that essentially gives you this.  It's basically a 2D plane that could take any image and be rescaled as needed.

I haven't actually looked at this, but it might do the same job.

Yup that works, I had a rummage around in my folder and repurposed sexybastardo's sperm on the floor toy and aye I imagine the blood splatter toy would achieve the same idea too.
