Oh, fellow Anomaly enjoyer ☺️ Again, I wasn't obsessed with this game because of the guns (I'm not a big fan of the Boomsticks and Sharpsticks addon, for example, or the so popular add-ons with content taken from Escape From Tarkov). I was there for the atmosphere 😮 I was scared as hell, and the Emissions scared me the most 😬 I remember the first time it caught me unprepared. Deep in the Great Swamps, knowing full well that I'm tempting fate looking for artifacts so far from shelter. And all of a sudden you can hear crows flying away in panic (event added by another addon ☺️) and then a siren rising up. The Emisson is coming 😵 And I'm nowhere near anything even remotely resembling a roof over my head. A panic escape and a race against time. On the way, avoiding anomalies at the last moment and barely escaping alive. And just as I see Emission's deadly shockwave approaching - Bloodsucker suddenly appears between me and the shelter 😲

Just writing about this made me shiver, and the last time I played was almost two years ago, that's how strong atmosphere this game/mod has 🙂 And yes, lots of guns 😁 Complete with the weapon jamming mechanic, a rarity in FPS games 🙂

Exactly, the atmosphere is the crux, the glue that holds the whole game perfectly.

I mean, imagine STALKER as "ordinary typical shooter". So, no advanced combat AI, no global open world map and its own AI system and no absolutely amazing, deep atmosphere of the Exclusion Zone thats based on outstanding visuals (X-Ray engine may be old, but one can see how modded visuals look like ... its absolutely NOT far from UE5 at all), and immersive sounds. And not to mention regular emissions and psy-storms ...

If this game was just for shooting and guns, it would quickly fade into oblivion. The first STALKER game I actually played was Clear Sky, so I started with probably "worst title" of them all... only to be immersed into a massive modding scene.

The whole STALKER franchise is a combination of

    1. Outstanding visuals and especially lighting and shadows that put game far beyond typical visuals. Horror and mysteries of the Zone combined with action.

    2. Survival skills of the player, some light RPG elements of the game (especially with mods) and hardcore approach

    3. Its unique AI and global map and its own AI (there are two AI "routines" in the game ... one that activates when NPCs are in distance from our player, and one when theyre "offline" but still present on map)

But also for guns ... I would say this is mostly in modded STALKER games, especially Anomaly. And Anomaly now got its own sub-mods like GAMMA and others ...

Oz, if you have never played Jagged Alliance 2 with 1.13 mod (its an old 1999. turn based game, but probably best TBTS there is, and there was recent Jagged Alliance 3 game release) or STALKER Anomaly, you definitely should.

These two games probably have the biggest gun porn I have seen anywhere. And STALKER Anomaly is best FPS ever to me, while JA2 1.13 best turn based tactics from my own viewpoint. JA2 1.13 especially has insane number of guns... literally everything, even the more obscure models or guns that were experimental and produced in limited editions. From Pancor Jackhammer to XM8 AR, its all there.

As for STALKER Anomaly, I think its even more insane regarding its own gun nut community... basically some members over many years modded in highly detailed weapons (many with their own unique animations) into the game. I think only ARMA 3 has so many weapons from other more "military sim" games.

I was working on making a model of her but quit.  For now.

Something could be done as "basic" model using default body, but it just isnt it ... as it requires certain additions which make the mesh definitely different. So, either special clothing additions, or a puppet.

You only need Gwendolyn the Pleasure Robot, haha. I have one mesh especially for that ... but it will wait a bit. As puppet asset, robots are great, because there is no intention for additional clothing.

Was thinking this earlier this morning, or you could extract the scene with Hook and convert the object to H5m, could place it anywhere you want then, also have an object for every model

Objects arent possible to be weighted to body or morphed, so there would be many more capabilities in "true" assets, altough the objects are handy in many cases.

You know what we would need ? Similar ways of visual biography, but you could use sliders to move the asset in the scene.

I think Ill experiment with this next. Despite I planned to use the assets directly into the new two customizer rooms, it would be neat to have capabilities to position the biography in any way people see fit additionaly to it, too.

Now, this puts even more capabilities ... think about additional props or even something like "addon toys #2" in scene, or even "wearable cumshots" and similar utilizations. This is interesting combination, because were not capable to weight paint the toys - but it would be possible with this.
