In this installment, I ramp up the storytelling with some unique character developments, specifically regarding Rory and Jaeleen. As hinted in vol.1, there's history between the 2. Here, that history is revealed, and it's definitely game changer. This volume is all about emotions, across the whole spectrum. Things are going to get deeper and heavier from this point on.

A couple of subtle things I did within the 1st couple panels is with the lighting, namely around Rory. It's a design cue I plan on doing going forward. Rory is a dark, brooding, tormented soul. A guy with a shady past who keeps his emotions well guarded. To convey that darkness, in instances where Rory does show emotion, I purposefully darkened the light around his face that it's visible only through shadow. Couple with his hair and beard, it gives him a menacing look fitting of the character. Might do some more subtle things to make characters pop aside from dialog cues.
