A Friend In Need...

So. Nothing much to report as of now. I am officially resuming work on the second issue of CNC Baby. This upcoming issue won't be as sexually charged as the first one in terms of fantasies and that stuff. I want to take some time to build up some characters, including my two leads; Dani and Max.

The theme of this issue will revolve around friendship. What types of friends do Dani and Max have? How are they going to advise them when they ask for it? How will they deal with their reality checks? This isn't about a shifting status quo. It would be stupidly pretentious to say there is such a thing as a status quo in this story already, when in reality, there isn't yet. The pictures I've taken so far tell me this comic will probably be double the amount of pages than the first one, and if you're expecting spice... It's a bit too early to say if there won't be any, but right now, my plan is to keep the spice on the wayside for this one.

However, I just found the single greatest obstacle I think I'm ever going to find on this series, maybe in all of my comics.

Meeting with Rassia (48).png

Appearing in this issue is @SovietTiger's own Rassía Hernandez. A model who has received hours upon hours of love, care and attention put into by him. Not to spoil much, but we've been going back and forth as to how their interaction should be, with him coming up with most of the idea behind it, that basically Rassía and Dani were childhood friends. And due to the recent loss of my friend Blake, I can confidently state: This will be the hardest thing I ever had to write for a comic. Or ever, period. I didn't really cry when I went to visit him at his old house, or even when I attended his funeral. But this... This might break me down.

Still, no ETA on a release date. It might be up to another month before I can consider this one ready for reading. But when I do release it, please give it a read. This might be the most up-close and personal I will ever get on a comic.

This might be something that makes your head spin. We won't ever know why things happen and in the order it has to be. In this case, is very very "funny" (lacking a better word). We started talking about this months ago, and the shape is going would be interesting, to say the least. Old friends separate and get together by moments, and we never know when will be the last time we see someone.

I believe I totally understand the sentiment and feel that this might "help" you in unexpected ways. Or maybe not. But! As we stated earlier, as long as this is fun to do, do it.

I love the see my girl in other person's highly capable hands, so I know this would be great. Don't rush it. It'll pop out on its own. Or maybe you just have to pinch it a bit... like a pimple 😄

That's the whole idea. Right now the layout is there, I just need to capture more pictures. As for the dialogue... That's going to be interesting to put it very mildly.

One of the keys to creating a compelling, long form story is character building. It's not just about creating characters, it's about giving the reader a reason to care about the character. There's more to it then just filling a stereotype...they need to have a personality to them. The touch part is carving out a character's niche. I'll use Henry Reese as example. His journey within his story as been one of loss, betrayal, discovery and redemption. As his tale progresses, you see a more confident man rise from the ashes of having his world burned down by the 2 people he trusted the most. As that confidence builds, he becomes more sure of himself and what he wants (aside from Bianca). I've gradually changed his outward appearance to reflect the change. He's still fundamentally the same character, but with a far deeper understanding of himself due to the experience of having his wife cheat on him with his best friend, and having a complete stranger enter his life that within months became the most important person in his life.

Now, I don't know how long you plan this story to go, but character development of that type is needed if you're telling a long form tale. You've gotta slow cook the ideas and let things flesh themselves out over time. TRUST me there's things I've wanted to do in my stories the moment I came up with the idea, but opted to hold those things back so let the character gradually progress to the point where the idea makes sense to implement.

Exactly the point. This story has already been planned out for the most part, but I have yet to see how I can put all the pieces together for things to wind up and click in the end. Therefore, this will take a very long time. I don't see myself finishing this story until the end of 2024 at the earliest if I am optimistic.

Start simple. You've already established the groundwork. Build off of that. I can honestly say beyond Volumes 1 & 2 of Betrayal I had no idea where I was going with the story. I hadn't come up with the idea of making Rory & Jaeleen husband and wife until I actually started taking pics of the apartment scene with them. Hell, Madeleine was ad-libbed character, who I came up with the idea for as a side story, and will start building on that in upcoming volumes. Not everything in my work is scripted...even if it seems like I have everything laid out. Sometimes you just have to just fire up a scene and let it flow.

Well, all I can say is that I’m excited with what you have on the oven and that they are taking shape, this crossover is long awaited, at least for me. It’s kinda worrysome to work with other people creative work, but I think you have already enough experience with that. And I’m not just talking about the excellent Punk Attitude that is one of my favorites, but also from several others colabs you did that I know pleased the respective creative owners!

This is quite noticeable, and I love these little changes! I’m a slow reader, like to aprecia-te the panels and stuff and I still am on a sometimes suferable mission to read ALL the comics published in here but I’m proud to announce I’m in halfway your work! Commenting and all, lol.
