Announcing my next comic project. An idea that's existed in my head for the last 15 years. An ambitious project that goes a different path then the current works I have going on. While "The Love We Live" serves as a slice-of-life romance story, Bubblee & Victoria serves as a raunchy supernatural comedy and Stiel Maiden serves as a military/espionage thriller...Magnum Opus falls into my 1st true love...martial arts. But the story of Magnum Opus will be unlike anything you've seen.

The story follows a man by the name of Gerard Yaz, who from the moment the story begins finds himself plunged into a world of violence and chaos as he seeks to learn the one question he finds burned into his mind; "What is the Magnum Opus?" This story will be bloody. This story will be violent. This story will be a departure from what I've done thus far. Yes, there's violence in Stiel Maiden, but not to the type of violence that will be depicted in Magnum Opus. This is a story that's taken up real estate in my head for a very long time. It's taken on a few different names...but I came to the title Magnum Opus not just because of it's plot, but because I feel like this will be the pinnacle of my story telling, because I'll be telling a story that involves zero sex. Yes, this isn't going to be an erotic tale. This is going to be a story of violence and vengeance.

Now how frequently each chapter will come out I'm not sure of. As this is going to be a linear story with a definitive beginning and end, there's not as much need to prioritize regular releases. But the 1st chapter will be dropping in the coming weeks. I'm excited for everyone to see the story I've concocted for this one, cuz it's a complete mindfuck from start to finish. Since there's no sex in it, I'm already prepared for the fact that it won't get as many eyes on it as my other work, but this one is a passion project for me. Like I said, I've had this one in my head for 15 years now. Just never had the time of resources to actually make it a reality...until now. So I hope those of you who do read it enjoy it.

Ok, now this intrigues me greatly. So what kind of theme are we talking? It's martial arts based, but what kind of setting will it be in? I assume it'll take place in Empire City as well?

Yes, Empire City is the setting. Specifically, the story will be set in "The Hallows", the area of the city I've introduced in Stiel Maiden. As I've established in Sully's backstory...The Hallows is not a nice place to visit OR live it. It's the city's underworld. The epicenter of crime, corruption and death. A warzone where gangs and crime syndicates vie for power, and the citizens are collateral. Even the police in The Hallows are not exactly "above board". The setting will be a lot darker and foreboding then my other stories.

So what kind of violence are we expecting in this? Like you said, there's violence in Stiel Maiden. Is Magnum Opus' going to be on par with that?

No...it's going to be WORSE, LOL. The gore is gonna be over the top. Baki/Garouden over the top. Dare I say borderline Mortal Kombat levels of violence. How am I going to pull this off in TK17? Well...let's say I've been doing a little experimentation with effects and stuff. You'll see a slight preview of it in an upcoming volume of Stiel Maiden, but take what you see in those panels and crank it to 11...and that's what kind of brutality you'll see in Magnum Opus.

That excites me. One more question, I don't wanna delve into spoiler territory but will there be any tie in to your other comics with this?

No. This story exists completely separate from the others. Takes place within the same time period, of course...but there will be no remote connection to either of the other stories. That being said, the ramifications of Magnum Opus' story as a whole WILL affect the world overall. But you'll not see characters from my other stories in it.

Will see characters from your other stories or wont? I’m confused.

Anyway, I’m excited with your high expectations! For sure I’ll read ‘em.

It's actually is inspired by a couple games, most notably Max Payne, Hotline Miami (1 & 2) and Midnight Fight Express...with my own personal touch of course.

If you're looking to be inspired by blood, guts and gore...yea. This one will hit the spot lol. Now while I can't COMPLETELY get away from there being SOME sexual themes as I continue to work out the script, sex won't be even 5% of the focus. What I can reveal is that the story completely takes place in the area of Empire City I've established known as Chase Hollows...aka "The Hallows", the gritty underbelly of Empire City (And also where James Sullivan, Silas Greenly, Luke Watts and other characters grew up). The Hallows is a crime ridden, corrupt wasteland where gangs and crime syndicates fight for power and control...and such a fight is where the story will begin. Can't say more than that, but it's going to be action packed from start to finish.
