I know it's clearly intentional, but I enjoy how "Suzy" is the complete opposite end of the spectrum of "Susan". Her younger self is optimistic almost to the point of naivety, but older Susan is pessimistic as fuck. Young Suzy is easily frazzled and anxious, whereas Old Susan is stone cold and monolithic. It's obvious the the events of part 3 will have a profound effect on her as a person.

The fact that as readers you guys pick up on these aspects makes me creating such nuance in my characters worth it.
