Finding new poses

Adam Baum

Recommended Posts

Hate sounding so uninformed, but here goes...I can't create new poses from scratch, but I've gotten a  lot better at modding

existing poses for specific rooms - so I'll have a group I've saved, like " DA 1,2.3, etc" or "Base 1,2, 3" & so forth. They should appear as

new poses in my Community Pose Edit, right? So how come I can't find them?  I can pull them up in game no problem, but I'd like to be able to locate them in Pose edit

without having to scroll thru over 1,000 poses, which I've done & still can't find them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If your new poses have been put in "TheKlub17\Community\PoseEdit\" folder and there's nothing wrong with them, they should be found and included in the list when you go to load a new pose in Pose Edit, otherwise in that window there's a "Community" widget that can get you there without all the ones in "Save" folder showing up.

There's no "Pose Edit" folder, unless you made one but the game doesn't work that way.  Any you save will be in "Save" folder.  Others you downloaded should be in the Community folder as above.

In game, if you save them with a different name (EG:  "hard sucking") than what the game names them by default (EG:  "PoseEdit0008.pes"), the game saves the name you give it inside the file, but will use "PoseEdit0008.pes" on disk.  Then when it reads them in game and shows them in SexBrowser window, it uses the internal name.  If you save them with a different name, then you'll just have to go through them viewing the icons until you find the one you want, which will be called along the lines of "PoseEdit????.pes" etc.

Yeah, "Klub17/Community/Pose Edit"...that's where they go....but I think you explained it correctly. In game the sexbrowser uses the internal name, but outside I'll just have to scroll thru

the "poseEdit0008.pes" #'s, etc., which is what I was trying to get around not having to do.

Thanks for the clarification.

You're using VX right? The Klub17/Community/Pose Edit doesn't work like it does in 7,5 at all. In 7,5 that's where you put the poses, in VX you don't touch that folder unless you know what you're doing, in most cases you don't need to touch that folder.

In VX the only folders you need is the Klub17/Save or the Klub17/Poses

The Save folder is used for editing, but it can also be used to store poses, I guess.

The Poses folder is where the poses are meant to go. The Poses folder does use subfolder who are either automatically created or better yet, you make them yourself. Technically the poses are moved to the PoseEdit community folder, but you don't really need to touch it, it's a leftover from 7,5, in VX you're supposed to use the Poses folder, if you put the poses in PoseEdit, ...it won't really work

Another major difference is the naming, In Save they need to be correctly named like Olly said, in Poses you can pick other names almost freely.

Nope, don't use VX.  Didn't know there was that much difference with respect to pose edits & saves. Makes sense now. but still seems like the same amount of work to find them, which I was trying to avoid in the first place.   Sorry for any confusion. Thank you Olly & Drahzar for trying to help me out on this

This was true even on older versions.
