Villa Kuku 2.0

Greeting. So for the good chunk of today, I've been working on 'optimizing' a room that was made by berger. That is Villa Kuku/Kubu. This was one of those room that I really liked but it was pretty heavy and created some weird stutters. And it was one of those room in which berger introduced morphs. Though great as it took us to a new direction, it still lacked that 'awe' and it felt like it really wasn't going for what he wanted. So much has been discovered and used since then in which can be used for this room.

Like I mention, I was busy cleaning up the file, removing the morphs and optimizing some meshes/objects. And it loaded without any 'stuttering. Also I welcome anyone with ideas, suggestions, etc. Please comment on morphs ideas, pose locations, objects, or liking my suggestions and if I should remove/move, etc.

Now, bergers version greatly differs to the actual files. In I like his vision for creativity. I decided to follow/mimic his style/vision. For the sake of optimization, I decided to remove the 4 chairs and replaced them with 2 chairs that has more viable (in which you can use existing poses/animation.  Also, I decided to replace the massage table and in berger fashion, replaced it with a naughtier version. Not seen was a slide which bugged inside the house. Added a rail for the pool. And in the corner, a 'pole' that is subbing for a support beam.

Also I moved the table around a bit and removed the sandwiches (would be better if used H5M or toys) - reason for removal, they where too high poly.

Now aside from the minor replacements/additions. I have found some 'issues' and I started brainstorming ideas to use.

As you see, some texture issues. I might try to replace them or leave as is. With the sofa, I might bring over my 'ultimate sofa' in which would use the PE morphs to deform the cushions. As for the plant, I moved it to a corner - I might leave it or replace it with the same object. Though it might be the mesh, I may need to find a new one.

Now, there is some weird 'furniture' that is just siting in the middle/corner. I'm questioning if to replace or not.

  • Bench in the middle of the bathroom (to remove or not)
  • The bench/sofa in the corner of the room (to remove or move it some other place OR alter it a bit and put a pose location on it)
  • The chair in the grass (to remove or move near the pole - moving it to the pole, I was thinking of giving it a morph in which you can rotate it, watch the game or something else)
  • The fruits and veggies are pretty high poly. I can try to lower them, though it wouldn't be as much as I want it to be. But a 15% less vertices is better than nothing. I can remove it.
  • There is a pantry next to the oven/stove that has shelves. Can't morph the door. Was thinking of removing it making the shelves usable (people can use H5M stuff for items, etc)

Morphs! Berger made some morphs BUT they really didn't produced what he wanted to. Using transitional morphs will be better at aim for the target.

Also might add some morphs for certain objects (step sis might get stuck again)

Again, feel free to suggest ideas.

  • Bench in the middle of the bathroom: Scrap it.
  • The bench/sofa in the corner of the room: Scrap it. That's what the living room is for...LOL.
  • The chair in the grass: Move it near the pole and make is so it can rotate.
  • The fruits and veggies: Scrap 'em. H5M applied by the user is the better option as it allows variety to be added.
  • There is a pantry next to the oven/stove: Make the shelves usable for deco.

Yea - that bathroom bench is gonna get scrapped.

For the corner bench/sofa - Might make it smaller. Might be more useful if it was not that long.

Moved that chair and put a 'towel' in its place.

So I ended scrapping the entire lights/lamps/chandeliers/etc. Norms was flipped and I tried fixing it but it requires a long process and I didn't want to do spend time on doing it. Scrapping the lights actually helped a lot. Removed almost 200K of vertices. I ended up replacing them with something more simple and what not. So I might keep the veggies. I might just decimate it to lower poly/vertices.

If more people agree about the pantry. The door will be removed.

I replaced the sofa with my 'ultimate sofa'. I could not bare to see that texture issue lol

For the sake of most of our old machines, I would say yes, scrap anything and everything that's in the list. Most of that stuff van be replaced with h5 objs and unquestionably will make the room lighter.

Looking forward to have a step sister stuck in a washing machine.

As a suggestion, I don't know if the volleyball net as to be there always. To make a little that space free with morps, would give a space to bbq stuff or have a "sex reveal party" (if you know what I mean) or some other activity which needs an open space and to be filled with toys or H5M.

What would be great and very appreciated if you could get rid of that coffee table in front of the sofa in the livingroom, or, if possible, make it movable. That sofa is a great place for action but that coffee table is often blocking camera angles and poses in front of the sofa.

Thanks for making a great room even better!

AGREED!!! That table pretty much makes any and all chair poses useless because it's so damned close to the couches. Moving it out at least a foot would be awesome.

It could be removed with room options.

lol some of that stuff isn't that heavy. Honestly, I think with berger is that, he start off well and mid through, he just wants to finish it that he just doesn't bother on cleaning it up. With this room, the biggest culprits are the metal objects (sink, light, door nobs, handles, etc) - I'm sure that he could of greatly reduce vertices if you optimized the light fixtures. Just doing it through this way is kinda hard with not being able to know where the source came from. Either way, remove and replacing the light fixtures. Like damn, room is running smoother!

This is going to be a killer room when it's done. Berger made FANTASTIC rooms, but I, for one, had troubles using most of them in the past. Thank you for picking these up!

So a little update:

I separates the mesh for certain stuff that people have a 'problem' with. Doing so, I was able to create room option in which will allow users to hide/remove certain items that the may find annoying.

  • You are now able to remove the volleyball nets. You can remove/hide either one or both
  • The 'coffee' table. Personally I like it. But I see on wanting more room for better angles. You can remove/hide it
  • The table and benches. You can now remove/hide either bench or both, or remove/hide the table, or remove/hide them all
  • The bed sheets on the bed. Saw a post and saw what he meant. You can now remove/hide either or both bed sheets
  • You can remove/hide the volleyball

Now here are some stuff that I completed:

  • Adapted my ultimate sofa and the morphs
  • Fixed a bunch of double sided norms issues
  • Separated the mesh for certain items. This is needed and will help out on making transitional morphs
  • I realized that berger 'extended' the bedroom seat into a sofa. I scaled a down bit so it can be more useful
  • I moved that bathroom bench. I opted to move it instead of deleting it. It can could prove to be useful
  • moved that little chair closer to the 'pole' beam
  • Added a FUCK TON of pose locations

Things to do:

  • create morphs for the bedroom doors
  • create morphs for the upper cabinets doors
  • create morphs for the oven door
  • create morphs for the solo chair
  • create morphs for the washer and dryer doors

Miscellaneous ideas:

  • A morph for the toilet lid (lol I know)
  • Replacing the pool stairs. Something that doesn't look like a hazard lol
  • Removing/replacing the 4 remaining 'old' chairs or a least removing 2 and adding a replacing them with the 'new' chairs'
  • Adding a couple of 'futbol' nets for the 'sand court'

Weekend update:

Things to do:

  • create morphs for the bedroom doors (complete!)
  • create morphs for the upper cabinets doors (complete!)
  • create morphs for the oven door (complete!)
  • create morphs for the solo chair (complete!)
  • create morphs for the washer and dryer doors (complete!)

Miscellaneous ideas:

  • A morph for the toilet lid (lol I know) (complete!)
  • Replacing the pool stairs. Something that doesn't look like a hazard lol (complete!)
  • Removing/replacing the 4 remaining 'old' chairs or a least removing 2 and adding a replacing them with the 'new' chairs'
  • Adding a couple of 'futbol' nets for the 'sand court' (complete!)

Well, as you see, I am a step closer to completing this 'rework'. What is left is just testing and finding any issue. There is a couple of things I want am thinking;

  • Adding a 'morphable' pose location or 2.
  • Adding some minor foliage/interior,etc - Room is heavily optimized (still not done yet lol) and it gave me a lot of head room. So it shouldn't make a dent.
  • The hammock had a morph. Will experiment with it and see if I can improve on it
  • If I remove 2 of the old chairs, it would give me more head room on a better replacement(s)

Exactly, I like when tables and chairs are morph movable.

@Smoke, if Inunderstand correctly, this room will still have morphs for furnitures. What sonhou think of the coffee table and some chair to be movable,l by morphs, Ronaldo’s poses or even videos of people sitting in or getting up, pushing chairs with their hands, asses or knees? Or even some rocking because of humping
