About This Club

The place for experienced and aspiring comic creators to discuss their work, plan collaborations or share insight and resources on the fine art of making comics using TK17.
  1. What's new in this club
  2. The comic is being post-produced, and is going live! I hope you can look at it and leave a comment.
  3. I really like the way this one looks, and Serena is just absolutely adorable as always!
  4. I'm trying a technique that I like a lot, the narrator's voice. It's very common in Conan's comics.
  5. It's going slow, but I think it's gonna worth it. I've got 28 pages and counting. I hope the release comes next week.
  6. Poor Julie was the chosen one. I'm sorry! In defence of my muchacha, she didn't know she liked girls until she met Malena. And to be fair, although Malena is curvy, she's hard steel and she behaved in a very manly way went they met. It has changed a little by the time this happens (for instance, Malena didn't even used bras or long hair... that's Rassías doing). But yes! I would by for a dollar that live reaction from the BTM Babes HQ!
  7. This is probably the best stream comment dump I have EVER read LOL! I need to get.my ass to work and show a live reaction from the BTM Babes headquarters!!
  8. Light hearted, sexy fun. What's there not to like?
  9. Here we are, my good comrades. The Ministry of Lustful Culture of the USSR (МПК СССР) proudly presents the first teaser of our very own and first planned comic. I know it's not my first, but this wasn't made "on the fly" as the others. As in economy, planing is fun... but executing the idea: Fuck! Is easier to purge a party... Nay! A NATION! Than making an endeavor like this to come to life. I believe I had been working in this for almost 3 weeks. I'm finished making poses and taking photos. The script was the parting point and was fun to make. And needless to say, I had fun making this... most of the time. Sometimes you get frustrated when the game crashes on you and it takes more than 5 minutes to load again. But I think it's worth the long hours. As I stated in the blog, this history came to life when I had the idea to give my Panther Malena a type: She likes light skinned brunettes with green eyes. She was born in Russia, although her mother is from Cuba. She knows slavic people are kind, but reserved. On the other hand, caribeño and of course all over Latin America, the people is kind and cheerful, even if you don't know them. In this case, by some joke planned by ancient mexica god Tezcatlipoca, comrade @hexd33 released his beloved Hannah and apparently and randomly, she's Chilean. So, we have got ANOTHER hot latina in our hands. Everything fell in place, and here we are. This is just a little part of the story. If you want to know a little more of the context of what's going on, I have been writing about my "universe" here in the Exile. Some galleries, some blog entries. This very same entry will be published in my blog in a couple of days. So you have the prime view of this. And when the time comes, the full comic will be released. Stay tuned for that. There's no error on the white stripes to the side: I will be using the same measurements as @Trapp does in his comics, so you can imagine that's the "paper" of the comic itself... because contemporary cellphones use an aspect ratio of 9:16. Many many thanks to creators like Hexd33, Smoke and HDiddy, who made the models and assets used in this story. Also, many thanks to Trapp and @Morius for the ideas, the feedback and the support. And as always, any feedback is appreciated. Enjoy.
  10. This is actually an interesting topic for me. I'm about to wrap up CNC Baby Extra 1 (or 3.5 as I originally called it) and there is going to be a lot of steamy action, but not really that much dialogue. I was speaking to @SovietTiger about this yesterday and he did make some very interesting points in terms of the narrative during sex, and in particular, the case of Dani. This opens a conversation as to what the psychological effects of sex would be for someone like her, but I think you'll enjoy the results of this. I make no promises but it COULD be ready by today, since I'm nearly done with capturing anyways.
  11. I think we should definitely make a thread regarding creator influences here some time soon! It is definitely an interesting point of discussion!
  12. While my creative universe has been something that's existed for the better part of 25 years...since back when I was kid who aspired to become a comic book artist and WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before I joined the military, the current iteration of it has several influences. If I had to sum them up by each series, it'd go as follows; The Love We Live: Slice of Life style anime/Soap Operas/Rom-Coms/Romantic Dramas Stiel Maiden: The "Clancyverse" (The collective works of famous military author Tom Clancy, who created the characters and stories behind Splinter Cell, Rainbow 6, Ghost Recon, Jack Ryan, Without Remorse and most recently The Division. Bubblee & Victoria: Basic "Buddy" comedies, Sci-Fantasy (D&D, Elder Scrolls, etc) Magnum Opus: Garouden, Baki The Grappler, Kengan Ashura/Omega, Midnight Fight Express Warriors Of Fate: Essentially it's kind of an extension of Bubblee & Victoria, in that it's sci-fantasy, but takes place on my Earth nearly 100,000 years ago, just before the actions of Vozanath that destroyed the veil, and severed humanity's connection to Mana (magic). So yea...as you can see there's a LOT going on as far as my influences...lol.
  13. With the sex scene with TLWL vol.13, I've opted with more of "internal monologue" style to carry the narrative of it. I find it a lot easier that way rather than actual character dialog. There is still real time dialog in the scene, but the monologue method seems to fit my overall narrative-heavy style.
  14. Oh right! Well, you got a pretty cool selection there! Those are pretty much the same style I use for my comics, and I think Oz will definitely agree with me. The thing here is, when choosing a panel, I first want to focus on what I want the page to portray. For both Oz and I, something I noticed regarding our comic pages, is that we usually go with two panel pages if we want to focus on big images we don't want to crop too much. As in, panoramic views or something like that. Now, the image selection plays a great part on how to choose them. There is no "right or wrong" approach to what we do, even if some professionals might disagree. It all comes to what you want to emphasize. For example, the one panel pages, I use them to emphasize important things that highlight an action within the story I want to tell. For others, I'll just go with my gut since I don't have someone to advise me on how to do it. Reading a lot of manga and Hentai kinda helped me create a sense of what visuals to apply to certain scenes, so it's all up to taste and what you wish to portray!
  15. Now, thank you very much for the info... I didn't know those existed. But I might have been not clear enough, because I didn't mentioned it: I already own Clip Studio, the son of Manga Studio. Back in the day when I had a job that I hated but gave me lots of money, I payed that fancy software just because. And that has panel templates. The question is more to... how to pick the panels? Is there a method to pick them or just go with a random one in each case? EDIT: And they are all Manga like. Maybe if I search for it, I can find western style templates, but no matter. I can work with I've got now and search for other stuff later. null
  16. Okay, for comic creation, you can go two routes: The "official" one is to get yourself a license of Comic Life 3 by Plasq, which is the software that @Oz70NYC and I use for our stuff. That is a FANTASTIC tool with several different comic templates, fonts, styles and customization options that really can bring uniqueness to the way you tell your stories. When I started, I downloaded a cracked version of the software and I honestly wouldn't recommend going this route, since the Keygen for it is easily detected by Windows as a "virus". The software is only 30 USD as far as I can remember, so I went and bought it. I can help you out with looking for something to dip your toes into the software if you want! The second one, and a totally free alternative, is using Canva. I used that for this comic: What's kinda cool about Canva is that you can customize the text in many different ways and on any template you create, you can add blank image boxes to set up as if they were customized panels. I'm not sure if you can modify the panels to have a more angular look like in other comic books, but if you want to test it out, it can give you similar results to the comic you made. On that note, that comic is probably one of the most wholesome things I have read on this website! So, if you need help getting Comic Life, I can be of assistance. I still have the files and can help you get setup.
  17. Yes, exactly! The cool thing about the scenarios we have, is that we can focus the action on small places and that in turn helps on character development and interactions. For me, character profiles are VITAL to keep track of my people's history, actions and relationships, as well as to help me build a foundation to write stories with them, so that everybody feels unique and has their own nuances. And another one of the things that really peak my interest is videogame lore. I'm not an avid gamer, in fact I suck at them. I haven't owned a console for ages and my PS2 I bought last year hasn't gotten any use since I moved back in August. But videogame lore is super interesting to me. So in a sense, I share @SovietTiger's love of history, albeit directed more towards the fictional world. But of course, I wouldn't mind learning more about real life history, if only to make my world building improve slightly. Anime also serves as a great source of inspiration. Funny enough, Kill La Kill and its analysis on fashion, fascism and the struggle for self-acceptance is a fantastic analysis worthy of exploring. A Youtuber named Michael Saba does fantastic essays analyzing fictional works such as Kill La Kill, NieR: Automata and MGSV with such attention to detail and bringing in parallelisms from real life to those fictional worlds. In the case of MGSV, the topic of proxy wars, the interest of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (RIP) to revoke Article 9 of the Constitution, and how heavily militarized American society has become to the point that armed officers have used violence to quell riots or civil movements. That doesn't just happen in left-leaning countries, people... But I went a bit off-topic there. The point here is, world building can be a daunting task. But I've been exposed to a large amount of media in several different formats to have an idea of what works, what doesn't, and how I want to shape my characters as I analyze the work of other creators. And being that this is at its core, a sex game, I don't want to reduce my females to tools for masturbation or fantasizing. I believe most of them have their own agency, their own personality, and at this point, the sky is the limit. I'm preparing things that you might not expect, but that I am sure you will all enjoy.
  18. Hello hello, comrades. By the inspiration of @Trapp, I made a while ago a short comic named "Smell the Flowers" When I made it, I didn't use any kind of template to try to give it a comic or manga style using panels, just the photos and the text squares. I feel I have no issues in writing, because most of the thing's I've published here are basically chronicles that need no plot. It's just a story, something that allegedly happened. But now I'm going to make something new. A story with a plot, and the plot's simple: Rassía and Malena go out on a date, and Rassía learns that Malena has a type of women she likes the most... light skinned brunettes with pretty green eyes. Based on that discovery, Rassía interrogates Malena about her sexual fantasies. Malena, being an introvert, has the most "I just want to say I have a fantasy" by naming a 3some. and then Rassía gets in a little crusade to make that fantasy a reality that very same night. I'm building the poses still, I haven't really took any pic and the story is simple enough to making it out of thin air. Now, the issue I'm in front of: I don't really know how to design the panels. I grew up reading Batman's comics (from the appearance of Tim Drake to the Contagion arc) and I know that the panels' design isn't something written on stone... But I'm such a square when designing things, that I don't know how to make them appealing. I know the issue maybe do not look like something too complicated, but any advice I can get in this matter, would be very appreciated.
  19. OMG! This tread is gold! I had been building a world for more than a couple of years now, and I must say I haven't tried to do something more ambitious like @Trapp, because of limitations of sceneries. I come to here to do/get inspiration for the kinkiest parts of the stories, and that leaves much of the action out. The specialization of my scenery is somewhat unique (c'mon, a military academy... In RUSSIA), and much of what I've done... now that I think of it, has came from TK17: The abandoned bunker, berger's shower room, Driver's scenes room (the one with the pool, there are stairs and a shower, have you noticed them?), @Sexvision's covid care, the sinuos room and now I'm making one for the romantic apartment. But I need other locations and I believe I'm gonna learn how to make them, because I doubt someone would make a Russian Army barracks, for instance. Now, about the world building. My stories are always based in our world. I don't know why, because I love super heroes' stories and mangas like Kill la Kill and 7 deadly sins to name a couple, but can't work with fantasy. It's easier to me make crazy stories in a "real world" like the Kakegurui anime (the premise to me is dumb, but I love the characters and their stories) than create a "Lord of the Rings" like world from scratch. The only fantasy lore I find extremely appealing, is Castlevania's, and maybe some day I'll explore that. Most of my characters are women, and most of them have now a background and a somewhat complicated life story. Interestingly enough, most of my male characters are more like decoration. And I use our world, because I know A LOT of history. It was my favorite class since I was a little boy, and grand strategy games from Paradox Interactive made me basically a nerd at geography (from the countries of my interest, I must say). So I can place a story in ancient Greece or Rome, the Bizantine Empire, the Holy Roman Empire and of course Imperial and Soviet Russia. I find a little troublesome use my own nation, because our history hurts me, a little; but I need to use it for the sake of my universe. I like to think in alternative history, and what ifs... that's a different kind of "realist fantasy". So, maybe I cheat a little, again, using our world as a starting point. I love character profiling, that's why I enjoy stories by Trapp and @Morius. I must get into @Oz70NYC stories, because I enjoy them and every time I read a new story from a new author, I learn things.
  20. Well, I'm in a bit in a pickle just like you, bc I'm creating my second comic. Still at the poses part. I specialize in writing, so you know it isn't the same when you let the reader what to imagine, than showing stuff in a comic. I believe the same principles may apply to action scenes (bot sexy and not sexy), because you might lose your reader: I believe they should be somewhat short. If the scene cant or shouldn't be short I'd do same as you, giving thinking to a character or maybe to a narrator. I grew up reading Batman's Knightfall saga (and I still have the books from the 90s, in Spanish) and I remember that the long action scenes are sacerce and most of them are short. When talking a long them, the tend to get cheesy. Imagine Jean-Paul Valley fighting Tim Drake over his style of being Batman while Bruce is gone... It's supposed to be a brutal fight, but in reality it gates a little meh. By contrast, the first fight between the weak Batman and Bane, is very long, but there's almost no dialog, but Bruce remember stuff what happened and took him to that very fight. I think that's the way to go. If there's nothing to be said at the scene, I think the briefest, the better. I don't know any other method to keep reader's attention.
  21. It goes without saying that all of my projects are dialog heavy. I like to have the narrative happen in real time, as well as have my characters express their emotions through dialog above all things. Makes them seem grounded and "real". That being said, the hardest aspect of narration/dialog for me personally is during sex scenes. We've all had sex before. Some of us still have it on the regular. In real life, there's hardly ANY actual dialog happening during sex, mostly grunting, groaning and moaning. So you can imagine the difficulty trying to carry a sex scene in a comic to make it entertaining...without making it unrealistically dialog heavy. What I tend to do during sex scenes is rather than have active dialog happening, I'll instead either use what the characters are thinking during act or external narration of the character "reminiscing" about the experience from a past tense. Effective...but even so, it's quick to run dry of things to "say", especially for longer sex scenes. I'll sprinkle in some real time dialog...the grunting groaning & moaning...but I try to get the reader to really understand the context of the scene. My sex scenes in my mainline works always have symbolism to them...I don't just randomly through them in. I save that for the 1-shot erotic stories where the sex IS the story. But it's challenging. Case in point what I'm experiencing right now working on TLWL 13. The final scene of the volume is a raunchy sex scene that was built up over the course of previous panels. I'm using external narration and character thought for the dialog as I don't want the panels to be "empty"...but there's only but so much you can come up with. Trying to brainstorm another method I could use to implement character expression is sex scenes. I'm open to any an all suggestions.
  22. @Sexvision Yes, they will DEFINITELY help with exterior scenes. I could create all kinds of different city and township layouts with those. @Trapp 1st tip for you would be to restart your PC and have minimal to ZERO programs running before you start setting up your scenes, since your rig is on the old size. H5M resources such up a LOT of memory, and too many will cause your frames to drop big time. The Empire City Streets scene I've created and used several times drops 15-20 frames when I have 4 models loaded up. But it's also MASSIVE, so factor that in as well. Smaller scenes should give you no issues, like interiors and stuff. The 2 Japan scenes Sexvision shared with you aren't that large. One is actually very small, the other is about the size of an average room, so they shouldn't give you issues. But if you ever plan on doing stuff on as big a scale as I am (I'm actually in the process of putting a warzone together) heed what I said at the start. Also...SAVE OFTEN! I cannot begin to tell you how many times I'd be working on a scene and the frames hang or the game freezes and crashes and I'd forgotten to save. For me, every 5 items I add to a scene, I save. Aside from that, everything you could possible want to learn about using H5 you can read up on below: https://www.klubexile.com/tutorials/category/1-hook-help/
  23. This is the first time I'm ever using H5 Objects like this. Any tips before I start?
  24. Oz has a bunch of these already. @Oz70NYC Can you share the kitbash things with Trapp please. @Trapp here is your Japan street. Still needs specs and normals. https://mega.nz/file/IvQnRLTb#ubbToYBWvCy5-vopqAoQxUjh3w9CyQwPuuYspjWSN80 and tokyo street at night https://mega.nz/file/BmAV3TaA#xcICJas5ybVdaSuJa9G-7O1x_wFMVPFPDRkKpqedk0k
  25. Jesus Christ, these look AMAZING!! So much variety too!
