It would be a H5 skin layer.  For this you would need to make one in Photoshop, I personally have never made a displacement map but the seem pretty straight forward.  I have seen some adjust hips, but, etc...

Because of this neck issue, it makes my face look lighter than the rest of my models body even though the textures are the same.

okay ill look up to see if there is a tutorial. I've been pretty confident editing textures lately. Now I know to make skin glow and make heels and other textures glossy. So I will have to look into this, I just need to spend time learning how to create clothes of my own so I can share with the community. I have too many things on me and seems like its so little time to do it all XD

One option is to use an displacement map in that specific area to fine tune the head and the body connection.  Most likely when someone was modifying the head (or the body) they got a little overzealous at the seams causing the issue.

Displacement Map? Hook 5 Skin Layer Displacement modifying or Photoshop?

Maybe not.But it doesn't appear in this Very Slow cx+Default face..

Yea its weird because I placed my same custom skin on random model and their neck is fine. They are using the same body and head mod too, so can it really be the skin? Its weird.

I think that as Smoke says it is difficult to solve it that way without seriously altering the face.

It seems to me that it is related to the combination between the mesh of the body and the face mesh.

In this case, for example, BustyDismiss+Default Face:

Interesting, yea its a pain to retweek the face after using the advised method but I guess this is a common problem then.

Though it "works" but it tends to reset or adjust the overall face look. By the looks of it, he has adjusted the face heavily so it may ruin that overall integrity.

It didn't change the face as much, mostly the chin area. I will have to tweak it a bit.

Probably bad textures. That is literally the area where the face and body textures meet. Also, if not the textures, it's also the Hook5 settings, either its not matching/working correctly due to the pass files being different.

Well I shared the same Custom Skin on a random model and their neck is fine. Its only happening with mine for some reason.

This is exactly what I do, I just use my mouse and drag the neck back.

WAIT WAIT! Just open up the customizer and just left click on my model and move it in a direction and it will fix it? This not a add-on or anything?

    Just now, erikku90 said:

Yeah, when you are on the head section you can use left click to morph the face.

WTF?! Are you for real? Holy hell I didn't know that XD

  7. For the love of me, can someone explain why my models necks are like this? I've always had this issue, and I downloaded other models to see if this is a general problem. I discovered that its not and that only my models have this problem, it also have a white coloring to it too. It protrudes outwards while other models just has a flat normal neck. If anyone else has this problem or know what it is I would really appreciate it if someone can help me solve this. THANK YOU!!!

  8. Hey whats up, I noticed driver posted this

It requires that I update VX but I dunno what version of VX I am using and haven't updated since I converted to VX a little over a year ago. I want to update it so I can use the new stuff but don't want to mess my game up if I haven't updated to the required version before installing this mod.

Update: Okay I found the TK17_V10_Readme and it says

    "THE KLUB 17 V10.1.0.0

        New installer

    THE KLUB 17 V10.0.9.3"

How old is this version of VX that I am using? Can someone link me to the correct updates?

Just to make sure: A pc can have more than one hard drive or SSD, you can add another one.
Here a tutorial for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eGOujvffcU

My PC has two harddrives already. My original Harddrive is a basic HDD which has Windows 7 and TK17 7.5 which I don't use anymore. Once VX and Windows 10 had no problems with Compatibility I got a second harddrive installed which is my SSD that I am currently using right now its running low because VX is over 280 gigs and my SSD is only 400.

  10. 41 minutes ago, sexybastardo said:

That should not be a problem. But depending on your connection to your external drive i.e. with USB2 the speed will be very slow.
I would recommend buying a HDD or better a SSD and putting it in your PC.

My pc hard drive is SSD but running out of space because of the game. So if I get a SSD external can I just carry it over there? If not where can I get VX portable?

  11. Its funny because it was Caligula back during the Garden Days that made me want to really dig into pose creation. Then @Nickcockmanposes showed me that this game has so much potential when it comes animation. There was one point where I thought GoldXP and @Nickcockman was the same person because of how similar their models and animations were. @Sunderlandposes were a contender to Nickcockman poses, they were really good. But all my thanks go to @ddman2for having the patience with me when it came to learning the Pose Editor in general, all I needed was someone to point me in the right direction and I could handle the rest from there. It was because @ddman2for why I elevated as a pose maker.

  12. For me I only go as far as Futa x Female, I never do dick on dick action I'm just not into that. But with Futa its categorized differently because they aren't Trans Women, its more of a fantasy than anything else. In most Hentai's a woman can become a futa if she was fucked by one and was cum inside or if she has some kind of demonic power to instantly grow a dick. Then in some cases she has both a dick and a pussy similar to a hermaphrodite. Then at times I don't want to see a dudes ass in front of the screen plowing a chick so replace it with a futa now I see it as lesbians plowing one another just one of them has a dick. Doesn't make sense right XD

it's a mouth displacement texture made by pervk, located in "...\Binaries\hook_data11\mouth_fix_disp.dds". It activates when mouth is open. It should work fine but maybe another layer is bugging it out. This displacement misalignment happens because the displacement map has the wrong grey base value. Pervk changed it a while back so old displacement maps have this problem.

You can load the texture into an image editor that can edit dds files, check "load transparency as alpha channel", select the alpha channel, open Color Picker and click on the edge of the texture. It should say 128 Red, Green, Blue = Grey, base value in hook5.

Photoshop cs6 requires custom color settings.

Forgot to reply back that if its not the head or body mod - it could be a Hook5 issue.

Since you semi figured it, mind posting the txt file for the SL that you are using?

Yea it was a displacement issue.

set the displacement scale for all base layers for each body part to zero

Thanks, thats what it was a displacement issue.

Could be the face mod in question. You should try using that mod on other models to see if you get the same results. If so, its face mod.

Other wise, its to hard too tell.

Yea I switched and its still doing it, its only my Juri that is doing this. The wider I open her mouth, it pull back the face. I dunno whats causing it, been at it for 2 hours.

Well, I can only guess but most likely it has to do with the specular maps and the red channel (controls/make things look metallic in Hook 5). Were you using H5 with 7.5 or have you recently migrated from an earlier Hook-version as well? I think I remember reading something about the way specular maps, and perhaps normal maps as well, work was changed in H5 compared to H4... I really can't remember.

What you can try is to swap out the specular map in the _pass-file of some easily identifiable texture that is currently metallic.

    How to:

      Hide contents

Note! Before you do any changes back up the relevant - the files you're about to edit files!

Open up the ActiveMod-folder that houses the relevant "Room Re-texture" and there you should see a bunch of textures (diffuse) along with their _pass-files... let's say one of them happens to be so conveniently named (not saying it's the case...) "wall_plaster01.png" for the diffuse & thus the _pass-file is named "wall_plaster01_pass.txt".

    1. Copy the 2 files from within the zip I've attached to this post to your ActiveMod Room Texture folder. They are one green specular map and one flat/dummy normal map.

    2. Open the _pass-file, the one in this example being "wall_plaster01_pass.txt", and swap out whatever is set for "stage3 =" with the specular map I've provided (contains only green color).

    --> it should read: stage3 = UniSpec1.dds

If that does have some effect but there still seem to be something iffy you can try to swap out the normal map in the same fashion.

--> stage2 = UniNorm.dds (it's a flat/neutral and shouldn't make for radical changes in appearance unless what it's replacing is actually the culprit).

    Hope it helps.

Thanks, ill give it a try when I get up in the morning!

To add to what sexvision said.  I usually just take the texture, and colorize it in GIMP with a B-100

Change mode of image to RGB (May not be necessary but I do it)

    image.png

    Choose colorize option

    image.png

Then choose the increase blue level to 100 and everything else to 0 by modifiying RGB sliders

    image.png

Export spec file...I would save it as a DDS file which you can do in GIMP

    image.png

Finally if using Custom Skin Layers in H5, just replace the spec in the Skin Definition.  If using normal skin folders, replace the spec, and modify the genital pass file by adding the following lines:

    force_as_static = true
    glow_intensity = 0.75

You can adjust the glow intensity to your liking.

Thanks! Going to test it out right now.
