Is there a way to remove certain hairs from the 400 Hairs pack that comes pre-packed with VX?

Title.

A bit of context: some of the hairs I don't like, some have glitched out textures or whatnot - they're plain black. Since I don't want to just deactivate the pack, I figured I'd remove only select hairs. Hence my question.

Go to Config folder/TK17_Hair400.txt

Edit the file in text editor.

-- '#' prefix disables a hair even if hair400 is enabled

• blacklist option

If you have enabled the hairpack, add:

options.hair400list = "#386, #381, #380, #372, #371, #367, #368, #369, #370, #366,...." 

in order to disable  those hairs.

 

• whitelist option

If you have disabled the hairpack in options manager, you can add some of the hairs manually:

options.hair400list = "386, 381, 380,..."

I tried the blacklist option and it never worked for me. Until I deleted the -- in front of options.hair400list = ...

Now it is fine

I have tried to make an Addon for the first 100 hairs plus 179 and 268 and it works for me...

Remove what ever hairs you do not want in options by using "#" prefix

@HDiddy Personally I prefer the opposite (whitelist option). It doesn't require the activation of Hair400. Hairs are added progressively, when the need arise.
