On a serious note, a competition for beginners is a great idea! You can filter by xp and/or number of times the user participated before.

Filtering by join date might be problematic, since a lot of lurker users who registered ages ago would be excluded.

Now I have seen many completely fucked up screenshots and models of the game ... but this one ... this one truly terrifies me a bit, lol.

I loved FFVIII but for me the best FF title is FFVII, I know it's popular but it's actually a close call  between that and FFVI. Those weren't even the first FF games I played ether. I'm real old skool though I started with FF1 on the NES when I was like 10. Which still is one of my favorite games.😅

For me it goes something like FFVII>FFVI>FFIV>FFVIII>FFX for top 5.

Really? Every list on the internet has FFVIII lower. I see the popular opinion more as FFVII, FFVI, FFIX, FFX, FFIV.

A long time favorite FF remix.

Yep, the first FF titles I have played were FFVIII and FFIX... but I have spent even much more time on legendary Squaresoft titles like Front Mission III and Vagrant Story. Squaresoft back in its golden days, was truly some of the most amazing game companies ever.

Indeed Uematsu is legendary. Man I don't care what anyone says for me FF8 is still up there as one of the best FF games. I hope it gets a remake. The Man With The Machinegun will always be one of my favorite FF tracks I loved it so much.

Not Uematsu but this is one of my favorite FF songs and remixes.

Honestly, to me FFVIII is the best FF title ... I know this is controversial, because FFVIII had some issues (especially regarding broken Draw ability). However, to me it was the one that attracted me the most with its visual design (which was a bit more "realistic"), and it was, afterall, the first FF title I played when I was somewhere 13-14... and how the Japanese know to play with teen's minds, lol ... even the Squall is like .... 17 years old in FFVIII, lol. I would be an old fart in FFVIII universe by now 😆

Best FF titles IMO from seeing overall public opinion (not just my opinion) - FFVII , FFVIII, FFIX , FFX ... and overall these titles all came during golden era of gaming and golden era of Squaresoft.

Also, another remix of Man with the Machinegun ... this guy has amazing remixes, especially related to FF

THIS! My God, I can't STAND how "PC" gaming has become in recent years. For me, the worst offender of that is Mortal Kombat. I get that, since they're owned by Warner now, they kinda have to follow that company line, but it's SO FUCKIN STUPID! And as hype as MK1 is looking, I cannot condone the fact that a character as previously sexualized as Li Mei now is completely devoid of that. Same with Kitana, and ESPECIALLY Mileena, who had very good reasons to show off her body in the lore.

As for DOA... Well... We still have Xtreme Venus Vacation. *Absolutely NOT triggered by the lack of content from that game here in KE... Just sayin'...*

I am grateful to not know what you're talking about lol

The reality of that is, in the end, governments really don't give a fuck about people. Never have, never will. Not in this Capitalist vs. Communist setting we live in. And as much as nihilism isn't the right path to fixing things, that's how I identify myself in a very obtuse way. I know there are alternatives out there, but I always hated that "if you're not with me, you're my enemy" mentality, and I always will.

And when you apply that to sexuality, it's like, "you should be ashamed/chastised/put away for liking what you like and may God have mercy on your soul". I don't know what anyone's stance on sex workers is, for example, but I find them to be a necessity for people without a healthy and direct outlet for their sexual frustration. Same with the type of models we share here. There's a little of everything for everyone, as it should be. No need to get defensive if people don't like the girls I offer them.

And yeah, now more than ever, I believe individuality to be a social sin. Whatever the fuck happened to free-thinking? To criticism and holding the status quo accountable for their shit?

Like I said, either everything is allowed or nothing is. If people push down this woke, ultra-violent, gender deconstructing garbage down my throat, I will answer with equally blatant, hypersexualized, no-holes-barred fury. And they'd better fucking like it.

The way as I see it is fairly simple ...

Strong individuals that strive for true independence - they do not need to belong to any organization or movement to "confirm" themselves as a valid individual.

I have never mentioned here, but the funny and ironic thing is that not so long ago (like several years ago) I was still a somewhat (altough "lightly" ) political person.

Somewhere at one point between US elections and Russian invasion of Ukraine ... I got disgusted with everything. But it was just in few days as it changed the way how I perceived it, almost like someone flipped a switch in me. There is ZERO chance that I could touch anything from politics, religions or ideologies anymore.

Today, I see that more people - regardless if young or old as both generations are there - follow the collective-hivemind mentality in many ways. From religious, to ideological, to political, to false humanist brainwashing.

The answer is very simple ... everyone is on their own journey of evolving their mind and stances, and ultimately all of the "-isms" are just an excess luggage filled with stones and rocks that one carries around completely pointlessly, and completely aimlessly. Once someone throws them out ... they feel so much lighter and liberated.

As for sexuality, its also simple ... as long as it doesnt make harm - its fine. Theres a myriad of fetishes out there ... and I cant laugh more when someone attempts to judge someone elses fetish, while they themselves have plenty of them. Sure ... one can dislike with something and dont like it at all, but no need to trying to persuade someone that "my stance is the right one".

One also absolutely doesnt need to agree with everyone, and they cannot agree... and they shouldnt. They should have their own stances. The only threshold that shouldnt be crossed is the one of utter hypocrisy, and especially the one of violence.

I'm the type of person who will very rarely open up about anything I ever do with other people in my life. Only a couple of people (Baby Momma and a fling I used to have who actually registered here but surely forgot about it) know about the game. I actually made a model based on said fling (not telling which of my girls it is, she's been featured!) and she was like "Huh, nice".

Other than that, I do enjoy NSFW content and have very publicly defended it on social media. A lot of the stuff sometimes is hit and miss with me, and while I do respect any and all forms of sexual expression (save for the illegal ones, duh...), I do have my niche and, as others here have expressed it, kinks and fetishes that I sometimes have experienced in the real world.

I find this extremely hypocritical and one of the absolute worst things in society today. So, tiddies are not allowed, but watching cartel executions on Reddit is fine? We have to put up with censorship of "problematic content" in videogames, film, TV and anime, but it's okay to show fuckin' Carl Grimes get his eye ripped out or Glenn's skull being caved in, brains splattered all over the floor by Negan in The Walking Dead?

To me, either everything is allowed, or nothing is, as long as it doesn't cross over to real-life paralellisms. That's what we have porn for, but still. I hate that thin-skinned people who spend too much time on social media dictate what adult entertainment nowadays means.

Ufff... I still remember nasty stuff on LiveLeak (while it was still active). Fortunately, very very rarely curiosity would get the hang of me .... there were some absolutely nasty stuff that no human eyes should see.

But, oh ... dont show the woman's nipple and ankle - THAT will destroy their fragile minds. Not some cartel or ISIL executions with all the visceral details that are heartbreaking ... its nipple and ankle, the horror ...

Sexuality is something to be explored and accepted, of course, should always be in some normal and not far too excessive amounts, and never with harmful intention. Everyone can be a junkie of something. But when I see how much ideology, politics, religion and every other nonsensical crap is crammed down the peoples throats today, I get sick. Its hypocrisy of societies thats a real problem, double standards and pretending to be worried about certain things, as well as pretending to "care" about humans.

Humans are egoistic beings. All of our "I belong to this and this organization" stems from the fact that some humans are weak and require to belong to something or someone ... and thats sad. Every human is a unique individual with unique journey to undertake, and societies far often never take that into account, but always try to mold everyone into the same shape.

  6. To put it simply ...

V11 will NEVER have visual capability of HOOK5, and Pervok is long retired ... and even if he wouldnt be, chances for him to help and assist folks that openly shunned him and threw sticks under his legs in past regarding HOOK5 are absolutely zero.

64-bit version didnt fix all the problems that people would expect to be fixed with such version... but it did introduce more problems. When you have a new version that has slightly better performance, but stability is still questionable, and it gets even worse in some cases... then its not really a proper gain.

But lack of HOOK5 - which majority of people with TK17 use - is what is the main problem. Noone will want to play with visuals that are far inferior to what H5 has to offer. At least noone, of those people that can run H5, of course.

People must realize one thing ... for this game to be altered further in its "core", it needs someone like WR or similar. Without altering it "internally", it has already reached its upper limits regarding its core capabilities. But it all requires tons of time, effort... its all an investment, a sort of ... and sometimes its even more sensible investment to make a game on completely new engine, because it could ultimately require less time in learning and applying what was learned.

As for the "other team" and Phoenixgarden ... I wont even waste much of my time and focus on them. They have shown repeatedly they have zero leadership skills, zero vision of future for TK17 community - or even for the game development itself. It all resembles hectic, unplanned attempts... which are more aimed at patting someone's ego, rather than having a clear ideas of how to improve the game and make the community more productive. So, in one sense, history repeats, and at one point, the Phoenixgarden site will also get stuck on same obstacles that old Modsgarden got stuck on ... its "main team" egoistic charade that leads to nowhere.

For me, its all just very tiring to see and I absolutely refuse to make any contact with "other team" anymore, as well as I dont care what theyre doing anymore ... I can already see the future of it, and future of it - is past.

  7. Many assets meant for static sceners and posers (like DAZ) have significant number of heavily unoptimized meshes ... some can reach insane levels of complexity thats basically "overkill" ( for example, I have seen props with 100s of thousands of vertices, as well as one blanket over half million).

Such assets should always be decimated - especially if theyre completely static and intention is not to utilize armature, weighting or morphs with them. So, if theyre room objects in our case, your options are definitely to decimate them (watch out for UVmap destruction in that case, and experiment with multiple types of decimation).

Especially in this case, the objects are part of the warehouse scenery... there really isnt vegetation or some complex oval objects and similar. All is fairly "blocky" and you can use a lot of that to your advantage to optimize the scene. Depending on the size and number of objects within the room, I would say optimal ranges are in 600-700k vertices max total, but could reach over 1 million.

IMO, many room scenes are such that they can be comfortably decimated and for difference between hi-poly and lower-poly scene to be barely recognizable. Many urban, SF and similar scenes and rooms... the only time when we really need to eye for upper limit regarding vertices is when we have extensive areas of vegetation in the scene.

  8. The logic in above tutorial should also work for separate objects within the room (assumed theyre truly separate meshes, that depends purely on Blender work and how room is set).

So, technically, with multiple objects and meshes within the room (but remember - more meshes and objects that are separate mean lesser performance, this however, shouldnt be a problem as long as it doesnt reach some high number levels, and secondly, it shouldnt also reach higher numbers, because every object and mesh that is separate means also a separate texture and more draw calls) one is able to control many things separately.

Ofc, the most practical way would be utilizing room objects fully and linking them specifically into the game as sliders or selections, but IMO, its plenty of work for not much in return.

Or, one can use above what pes1972 says, and simply convert it as H5 assets and move around. One could also make some objects potentially invisible in original room, if needed.

  9. I was also surprised when I realized that I liked one specific hairstyle and hair color on women ... but only that one hairstyle, or hairstyle close to it. For several years I wasnt even exactly aware of this and would rather "write it off" as a part of the whole look, but later I would realize that when I exchanged even just a color of hair, my brain wouldnt look it the same. The woman, exact same face, same expressions - different hairstyle and different color of hair would make my brain react in different way.

The hairstyle and color of it in question is very similar, almost the same like on this woman (shes known as "Alina" in porn)

    0-Copy.jpg

What I want to say, there are probably many smaller details we arent even fully aware at first that they define our own subjective "definition of beauty". But they are there ... from the larger characteristics to all the way to small details on body and face. And sometimes people arent going to be aware at first its that one detail that makes the whole look much more beautiful !

So it can be hair color, hairstyle, butt shape, boob size or leg length all the way from head to toes ... or some specific expression or smile, even just gaze sometimes ... that would define the whole "gestalt" experience we have of beauty. Sometimes those small details arent obvious to us, until we put them directly into the picture for comparison, then we realize our "brain isnt firing the same". But there are also nuances there between our own definition of beauty to all the way to sexuality, which doesnt need to be in similar direction.

And this also goes beyond for clothing styles, too ... have you noticed how I made long skirts for this game, before there werent many for it ? Why exactly long skirts ... they hide more than they reveal ... but thats the whole point. Some clothing follows the contour of the body, doesnt reveal much to our eyes, but our brain and mind fills the gaps. For example, like in certain porn scenes during oral sex and fellatio, the woman could be shown from behind, and in this particular case, lets say shes fully clothed - we actually dont see any explicitness there, there isnt genitalia shown, but its explicitly implied of what is occuring and is clear to everyone... the mind immediately fills the gaps.

If you ask me, I see a bunch of todays porn just utterly boring and obviously forced, as it is and was normally with many porn scenes even before. We can see expressionless choking on cock or similar scenes ... completely devoid of sensuality and erotic part of it. But a specific expression or small smile thrown here or there ... it changes the whole scene into more sensual one. The scenes without "cheeky playfulness" in them are boring and absolutely stale.

Thats why also ... expressions are actually VERY important in game like this, but theyre overall lacking. Its not easy to make subtle expressions in animation, on even much more powerful program.

Yes it is, but only for rooms like this one, where there are lamps, tv screens and other sources of light. The performance impact is massive, because there is no DLSS or tensor cores.

One thing I didn't show, because it didn't work, is "Render a frame". It will render a still image at max ray tracing quality, and then you really notice the details. For people that like to take pictures, this feature is very valuable because the performance impact becomes irrelevant.

Thats definitely more than just 10 % decrease ... and I think it wouldnt utilize Tensor cores in RTX GPUs, as this is different approach.

Not so good as I thought at first sight ... sadly.

Honestly, this looks pretty damn good regarding the visual improvement and loss of performance. The gain is considerable, the loss isnt too big. I didnt know about this in particular (the name of author rings a bell though ...)

Now, this is something that could be already worked with...and considering RTX GPU isnt mandatory, thats a pretty big enhancement.

Everyone has their own ideals of beauty and tries to implement them in the characters they create. But if you always use the same beautiful models, they eventually lose their shine and impact. So it makes sense to use ugly models as well. For example: the pretty blonde with the fat girlfriend. I think everyone knows the picture. It's the same with clothing. The use of revealing clothing also loses its effectiveness at some point if you can always see bare skin. hence my recommendation...the less bare skin your model shows, the stronger the effect when she exposes herself. Well how do you think about it?

(This is only an example. the perception of beauty is of course relative.)

I would absolutely agree with this ... well, at least, this is a case with me, too.

Its more about variety of models and uniqueness. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as it is said, and relative to observer.

You can see this exact lack of variety in MANY DAZ models. Many of them look similar, some do "deviate from the norm", but many are there close to same "standards". And thus, we can see that even a massive treasure trove of various content on DAZ, doesnt have some morphs or mesh shapes. Or very rarely. This is why I made some stuff from scratch or kitbashed the existing one.

As regarding the xxx porn stuff ... its not always "more beautiful is better", from my own personal perspective. Sometimes there is uniqueness to slightly "uglier" faces. Sometimes such variations create much more variety.

  13. Use above hfg2's custom plugin for best results - but also requires largest extent of work. However, the armature can be changed with it.

If you want to modify only existing vanilla body without altering the number of vertices, use basic export-import plugins.

There is one specific Blender plugin that I use for longer time now, and that enables very easy conversion of majority (90 % approx, but depends) of morphs from one body, to another body with completely different topology. To understand topology in one image for those who wonder about it

    8319a0ee-ff3a-46dd-aa21-f65c2a22b6ac.png

Simple example of almost exactly the same shape, yet drastically different topology.

The Blender plugin I use https://mmemoli.gumroad.com/l/tOKEh?layout=profile (its free, but also donation based for who wants to donate)

Technically, will work on many areas, but intention is mainly on body itself, without feet, hands and without open mouth poses on head. VERY easy to convert whole batches of morphs from one body to another, in just few clicks.

The hands and feet should in general have their own topology. Some fairly basic morphs could work also one them, but from my experience, its easier and more precise to make them from scratch. Otherwise, if having converted hands and feet from some other place that already has morphs, majority should work and be convertible into Blender.

Two things to always have in mind - 1. Armature should always be used to pose limbs and extremities, morphs should never try to do what armature does, because vertices always follow the shortest path 2. Use morphs to fine tune the "surface", some basic deformations, expressions etc. But never use them for like, rotating or moving hands, legs or fingers...

BTW, if this game will be able to handle those superior engines in a few years, like the latest Unreal Engine 5, that ,,but can it run Crysis" joke will be history, haha! Can't wait!

In general, UE5 is separate engine... something like TK17 would need to be remade from scratch on it. But ofc... some things that are default in TK17 are pointless or obsolete, so the UE5-based porn game would have much higher capabilities.

But if you mean for RTX Remix ... this current TK17 VX version is run on DX8 (or OpenGL, also selectable). In our case by using RTX Remix, the 32-bit would become 64-bit, and would run on Vulkan API, not Direct3D. There will be possibility to "capture" assets within the game - meshes, cameras, lights, textures (maybe more with time, who knows...). Then those are converted into USD asset, and thats primarily used to streamline modifying of the asset from multiple programs. Everything will be put through RTX renderer and it will be possible to utilize very modern tech. Technically, the game runs in a completely new way and new rendering engine.

HOOK5 actually has similarities with RTX Remix ... its texture applying, interception of routines, custom skin ... etc. Technically, RTX Remix should be very versatile and capable at one point in future. For now its just a curiosity and people wont see full playthrough of games with it at least for some time.

I tried this remix step by step, but it crashes every second. Anyway, I really love this community and i like the fact that this is the most active community ever!

Yep, what I said in response to hfg2 ... people will need to wait longer a bit, to get full app and then try with it. I think that reason for release on github was, aside announcing whole project as open sourced, was also to check the feedback from various users regarding all the issues (and ofc, there are MANY of them, lol).

For now, its a mess, and majority of games do not even start. Some games do look a bit more capable with it (HL2, TES Morrowind, Max Payne 1, Mafia 1, Manhunt...) but its few in between. And literally no game is without problems. No game that you can actually play from start to finish with RTX Remix right now.

I think it will probably pass few months before full release, and then all capabilities will be realized. Then the longer refining and polishing begins. But I think that probably this year, people will have a full version and possibly even first games remade fully will appear by end of this year.

From Q&A with NVIDIA guys there was mention with capability to utilize it with older games, pre-DX8. Now, not suprising this currently isnt possible, but thanks to wrappers like WineD3D, there should eventually be capability to use it with even older games. They said they will expand compatibility continously, and this probably means eventually even some old classics from 90s will be possible to be remade in this.

For now, its just a curiosity ... not even a "tech demo". A Portal RTX was a tech demo, but only for that game. Now it will expand gradually onto more and more titles.
